Welcome to Derby! It's 1986 and we're in charge of one of the few remaining Peak-hauled expresses on the Midland Main Line, taking an afternoon service up to Sheffield.

You're using the VP version of the Peak. I was able to add the Class 40 bogie sounds to the Peak to compliment VP's engine sounds. Makes it sound much better.

There's a pub near Derby Station that has a Class 40 Cab in the beer garden. You can't go into it but it is still worth a visit as there is lots of train memorabilia!

Great video, nice run :) and btw the hud was showing that we could do HST speeds :) nopw all we're waiting for is for the whole Midland Mainline to be available and to do a full Midland Mainline run in a Class 43 :) as that would be epic!

1986 you say so how do you Explain the Post 1986 liveried stuff like the 31 514 etc... The 47 would have been New to that Livery at the time.

Hi Moleman, iam from Germany and i love your Videos and a big fan of British Railway - most the EMU's. But i will never understand why British Rail named this Train HST...i mean: Its funny when for Example Ferrari named a Car "Ferrari SFC" (Super Fast Car) 😆😆 Look at the Speed and you will see, that this Car/Train is fast...
