yea, exactly what I was going to write. I mean social media opened a lot of doors but on the flipside the amount of competition seems absurd and next-level narcissistic at times.

It wasn't all fun. The looming specter of nuclear Armageddon was always there in the back of our minds. We were going to die by fire. We just accepted our fate. Even today, when the sirens blow, I still jump.

And now everything is broken and nothing all our imaginations are lost. We hoped for better future, technology which really helps us, exploring of space, happiness and that people cared about each other... What we got now is mess and lost dreams...

THANK YOU THE MIDNIGHT! This is 80's style people! It sounds 80's! I lived it! 47 here still young, alive and kicking! I'm very honored I was a teen in these times! It was dreamy and hopeful! Colorful and full of joy and music! Not perfect but way better than now trust me! 😎💜🧡💚👄

Even at 32, I'm too young for this. However, a large part of the 80s made its way into the 90s as well and I was there in '91 and '92 but that was a very long time ago. Looking back, things didn't really change until the iPhone and Netflix came out.
@kevynhansyn29026 жыл бұрын
North Star Ken well I'll have to disagree with you. Your never too old or young to understand the 80's. If you didn't understand it, than you would not use a 80's anime harass icon as your avatar. Even that soundtrack was badass.
@BleedForTheWorld6 жыл бұрын
Kevyn Hansyn Well I use Kenshiro because the OVA series, not the original, is one of the best animated series I've ever seen. It is super incredible.

Patlabor is another good one from the 80's. KMFDM used scenes from the movie in one of their music videos, that's how I found it.
@CSM100MK26 жыл бұрын
You are not too young for this that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. 32 is spot on for the in-betweener retro-generation. Don't ever subscribe to that millennial definition again bro that hurts us all and is total BS. And things changed before iphone, we grew up with computers watching movies from 10 years earlier that fantasized what they could do. Think.
@shadowthedruid4053 жыл бұрын
Naw you good on age, from birth you go back 10 years from that . And that's your culture. So for are 2000s they are some lucky people taught 90s. Now for 2020s that's speaks for itself lol

my best friend and I dressed up as Bill & Ted for our drama final in high school. I was Ted. we recreated their costumes as best we could. it was so great. basically for drama class the final was always different themes of chosing a character from a play or movie or show or whatever any given year.. this one was getting partner for characters from a movie so we did Bill and Ted. it was really cool, whoa. we showed up late but argued that we were already there earlier but travled in timed. it worked.

whenever you were a teenager, that was the 'best' decade. It's not really about the time. It's about who you were at the time. Everything looks different from the prism of youth. That said, I'm glad I was a teenager in the 80's. ;)
@Bristecom4 жыл бұрын
True but the 80's and 90's were DEFINITELY different from how it is growing up today. My cousins just mess with their phones and ipads all day and seem really depressed all the time. At their age, me and my friends were always playing around outside and playing video games and stuff together. Plus, we didn't even think about stupid shit like gender pronouns and political correctness!

LYRICS : [Verse 1] I made my home in a ten-ton bomb And I was so happy with 28 years of free fallin’ Ah, but now it’s all guts and I’m bawlin' She was born in a tenement walk-up With shit for nerves, you know she never learned to talk to adults She said "Everything's easier in here" [Pre-Chorus 1] Like the dancer with bruises who gathers the cash When the music is through, no she don’t look back [Chorus] I’ve come to look for America too [Verse 2] All I ever wanted was a spot in the mountains With an A-frame cabin and nobody counting our days Or cursing or praising our name But the best we could do is to enter the void Like a wide-eyed child waking up to the noise of East Harlem Don’t they see that we’re starving? [Pre-Chorus 1] Like the dancer with bruises who gathers the cash When the music is through, no she don’t look back [Chorus] I’ve come to look for America too [Pre-Chorus 2] And we stole the car on the 4th of July I pawned my guitar and we drove through the night [Chorus] I’ve come to look for America too [Bridge] (Woah, woah) (I’ve come to look for America too, woah, woah, woah I've come to look for America too) [Pre-Chorus 1] Like the dancer with bruises who gathers the cash When the music is through, no she don’t look back [Chorus] I’ve come to look for America too (woah) [Pre-Chorus 2] And we stole the car on the 4th of July I pawned my guitar and we drove through the night [Chorus] I’ve come to look for America too (woah, woah, woah) I’ve come to look for America too (woah, woah, woah) I’ve come to look for America too (woah)

We use to think life in 80s was magic but i don't think so. I don't think it was something utopian and idyllic. I think something was exactly as now,problems,insecurities,money ecc. But i am sure that people lived each others more than today and were happier with what they had,at least most of them. Today we have Instagram,Facebook,that show us stupid fake lives about people we don't even know and we aspire to get to their level. We are unhappy with our lives,instead in the 80s people lived reality and made their reality something worth to live! Also,some things were not even in the imagination of people,some bad and strange things that we see today at News,people doing silly things just to catch internet's attention,to become famous. I think in the 80s people lived reality more than now,if you grew up in your mom n dad's house,your hood was your reality,you met people,lived the streets,arcade game rooms,disco,drive in's. This was the sh*t back then. Living life with people going around. Nowadays people search for extreme emotions,do crazy things,avoid human relationships,live with hundreds of psychological complexes. Damn life could be so simple and we are making it so difficult. You only need a street ,real friends and good music to have fun! Let's just dance.

Thats true, Alex Esposito. Remember; in the 80th (it was my best time, because I was a young man ;) ) we had the cold war. It was a very hard political time and very dangerous for all of us. The Soviets and the United States of America make a lot of Provocations and we know Ronald Reagan was a Hardliner. We stood on the threshold of war. But the more we became aware of the annihilation, the more we enjoyed life. Maybe we need it again in a certain way? I love this new Music of New Retro Wave like Midnight, FM84, Timecop1983 etc. Its positive sound and it makes good feelings, and I mean, it sounds a lot different of the music of the 80th. Its a new style. Enjoy Your live ! Every day is a present!
@alexesposito43476 жыл бұрын
Yes,today we have korea or iran,isis ecc,in the 80 cold war,in 70s vietnam and so on. Every decade has exactly almost the same problems. But with time and technological progress,if we improve on one hand,we also regress in something on the other hand. And i think with the internet,people changed their behaviour in negative. Maybe in the 80s Television was a problem for young folks,but my mother lived the 80s,most of the millenial kids parents lived the 80s and 90s,and i always listen to people that say that back then life was easier,more human. People enjoied reality,with pros and cons.
