Look y'all, I graduated in 85. I grew up with this music, and never left it behind. Oh, my tastes expanded, sure, but New Wave music, especially synth-driven, is the cornerstone, the first music that truly moved me, and I've never stopped loving it. And I promise you, all you younger folks, that feeling you get when you hear something new from The Midnight? That's EXACTLY what it felt like in 1984. Tim and Tyler, this is just so, so good.

We need more Tim McEwan vocals in future albums. I fell in love with Synthetic when I heard his emotions, or lack there off, in his voice. His voice reminds me of Ollie Wride. It's like with the band Night Traveler, Hunter Glaske's voice brings out that 80s Bryan Adams vocals, yet he's not the lead vocalist. Please, more Tim McEwan or even better, duets.

Whenever I listen to these kinda retro sound songs, I always wish that I could go back to the 70s or 80s times. Because I feel that life in the present times is so shitty & disappointing. 😔 As per my perception, in the 70s and 80s, life was simple and all that mattered to one-self was to be in love and thereby enjoy life. 🥲 These songs and the movies of tht era bring tht feeling to me everytime.

Help me take a jab at what the story is here folks. Is this about a guy wanting to be with a former love but they’re not longer together. She now has an atmosphere around her that is separating them. He wants to go back in time and forget all the worldly trash separating them. And that perhaps in the roll back of time they didn’t meet yet which would be better than the pain of being apart after having had each other? Just a couple guesses

Why do we love it so much guys? It makes us aware of being a fading comet floating through space and our day turns slowly into night. But thanks to The Midnight we'll be okay before we burn as we know we are not alone and we may go back to the place where we started whenever we want
