The Mig 29smt in War Thunder was added alongside the F16C in War Thunder, thanks to it's 2 R27 ER and 4 R73 it can easily defeat lower BR's opponent but will struggle in a prolonged dogfight thanks to it's new updated flight model.

Don’t know why but after these past few hot patches my R-73s are definitely not as powerful as they once were, in off bore sight shots, head ons, rear aspect in regular PD and IR ACM modes, idk what happened cause they were 100% broken a few weeks ago.

1:35 max fosh kicks in hard PS how do i properly use the Helmet lock? mine doesnt lock like the solid square one does (im bad with words my apologies)

Well it’ll never lock as well as the radar lock as if the enemy launch flares your missile will get tricked

"the r73 isnt overpowerd" they said. 90% the times you launch that thing it will hit. And you can launch it from everywhere in the range of 1.5 km doesnt matter where your nose is pointing

Ngl I feel like the aim9M is more flare resistant but it seems to fail to detonate half of the time

You should have seen my last game with it, whole 6 launches on people within 1 km, not a single hit.

@@Wartoktok its easier to flare if you know how and its almost Impossible to kill someone front aspect with it. Even if they dont flare they just manuver a little and it wont hit. I saw it missed some one that Flared but the missle was tracking him and as he turned front aspect it missed

@@WartoktokAIM 9 M is not more flares resistant, it just have a different IRCCM, but it is easily flarable when you know how to do it (flare first, and turn just after, contrary to other missiles)

@@Wartoktokyeah we really need a few more modes. We could keep current air rb as basically a team deathmatch then have 1v1 and 2v2 or more dogfight modes. Then also have an enduring confrontation mode but in rb.

Love gaijin, just as i reach the top tier mig 29 they drop this shithole out with the worst FM in 11.7+ with missiles that miss 70% of the time unless rear aspect, then they also make the mig 29 A completely obsolete by nerfing its flight model, then in another small patch the FURTHER nerf the 9.12 and 9.13 by adding weight atp the MiG 29s are just carried by the missiles, flight models are disgustingly bad
