The team gives their little bird daughter a new family and a safe home. (Not a moment too soon.)
Pretty sure Caleb’s “Oh no” during the hug was him struggling not to cry.
It’s too bad that Laura and Travis didn’t get to say goodbye to Kiri. Nice that it was because they were having their child, though.

I imagine the Nein going home, years later when they hear a shrill voice behind them say "The mighty Nein!" Everyone turns around in shock to see Kiri all grown up with a big ass broadsword at her side. Jester just goes "... Kiri!?" "Yes, I am very sweet!" And then tears and hugs. And Caduceus is confused as all hell

There was a great piece of fan art that had a "Mighty Nein the Next Generation" with Kiri a couple of her Shuster siblings, a child of Vox Machina and Calianna as their leader. It was Beyond Adorable!

I'm pretty sure this is one of the only times Kiri mimicked Molly.... If they go back now, one of the only ways she'll be able to really ask about him is by saying, "Take care of them" in Molly's voice.... I'm just not sure if any of us could handle that

When the Nein eventually meet up with Kiri again, they tell her about Molly and introduce her to Caduceus. She goes up to Cad and says "Take care of them."

The fun thing is, Kenku are obsessed with shiny things, for example, a shiny dagger. Her giving it back to them means she trusts them so much. Its sad how they might never see her again. For all they know, she's moved away, or grown up, or, likely not, but still possible, died. It's a sad thing.

aww i had a sad thought (Spoilers for anyone that hasnot watched most of the season) If they meet up with Kiri in the future and Its all nice and heart warming as she gives Jester, Nott and everyone hugs, but when she looks around she can't find Mollymauk. and ugh my heart!, when she's told that he's gone i'd hate to see how sad that would make her hearing the bad news

For people who watch this in the years ahead, lil extra context: This was near the time where the US was separating kids and parents seeking asylum into the US. (hopefully we're not doing that anymore?) Lot of the cast was very vocal about their outrage of this. Laura and Travis were in the hospital for the birth of their son Ronin earlier this afternoon. This was a very bittersweet moment. 😭 not a dry eye in the chat that night.

That's not a context I was thinking of while watching this clip, but now that you mention it it makes 100% sense for me. The whole cast, and Mercer in particular, are vocal about their human rights views, and it sometimes shows up in the game in more literal senses than others. I'm glad you reminded me of it, it gives the scene an extra layer. Also, I hadn't caught the news of BabyBlam's name yet! Ronin is so nice :D

This video makes me think, and I don't know if it's gonna happen but if in one of my games I play as my big stoic Raven aarakocra Otar and I come across a Small little kenku I'm gonna have him adopt them. Like can you imagine seeing this huge bird barbarian walking along with a little kenku either holding his hand or fast asleep in his arms? That would me pretty neat. Tho that thought of Otar being secretly being this sweet loving Dad that is very protective while making small toys for the kenku to play with between jobs, me I'd love that But of course as a DM this gives me ideas for plot points or scenes that, like this video, can cause the eyes of meny to turn into waterfalls
