In this video I talk about mental models and how they are used by the smartest people to deepen and increase their knowledge. By applying these mental models you too can reach higher levels of knowledge, and use them to create a successful service or product.
In this video, we will explore the concept of mental models and how they can be used to determine if someone is truly smart or just average. Mental models are frameworks for understanding the world and making decisions, and they are an important tool for evaluating intelligence. We will discuss the most important mental models, and how to use them to evaluate intelligence. Additionally, we will examine the common misconceptions about intelligence and how to differentiate between someone who is truly smart and someone who is just average. This video is great for anyone who wants to understand the concept of mental models and how to use them to evaluate intelligence.

One of the key pts imo, is how you view successful ppl - an envious view is very common here over in Europe, (in)famous soccer player Mario Basler had pointed it out many years ago when talking about player salary that has changed my point of view. Even if it has only a slight majority, it was easy to change my own very individual approach Europe: "How can you make 1mio€, I dont, so you must not either" US: "How can you make 1mio€, I dont, can you teach me?"

Brother, I don't want say this just to internet-bicker, but I'm in the US, and we've got a meaningful percent of the population who has very real wealth-envy. People who despise the successful and believe that they are somehow cheating. We see it in political debates often, about how the wealthy should "pay-their-fair-share"... as if the reason that they're rich is because the government didn't take *their* money, but it did take the complainer's? And one of the oddest aspects of that wealth-hatred, is that some people despise the wealthy... _but also want to _*_be_*_ them._ That is some serious cognitive dissonance. Having said all of that, I do remember reading an article long, long ago, about how Chrysler - a formerly American company - was purchased by Daimler, and that the merger of these two companies under the Daimler label was spotty, because some of the Chrysler executives were making 100x the factory laborer's salary in the US, but the Daimler executives were making only 10x the factory laborer's salary in Europe (I don't remember the actual rates, only that the US staff had a huge gap between the top and bottom, but that the European had a reduced amount.) And I do see your overall point -- *and I agree! You are right!* Some people are threatened by the success of others. You can see that manifest in different ways, too. Some people feel that a sincere compliment to another person is the same as an insult to themselves.... and I believe that is the same mindset as what you are describing. Cheers.

..."new tools are created when preexisting tools have sex with tools..."? (9:01) That sentence wasn't written by a human, of that I'm quite confident.
