hello owl house enjoyers of the internet…. how are we feeling about the anniversary of the finale (AAAAUUUGHH I AM IN ANGUISH)
i actually made this whole animatic last year to promote a new chapter my fanfic that is based off of the lives of the hexkids in the human realm and all the stuff we missed out on in season 3 🥲🥲🥲 when will i post the chapter u may ask……. uhh idk. do not ask. i am a slow writer. basically i miss my babies a lot and hate how gus’s whole thing with how he saw everything and knows hunters a grimwalker is just… brushed over in the final season. it sucks BUTT i wanted MORE why does gus always get this TREATMENT

YES. FINALLY. MY BOY. UGH. the rush to complete the story with the time they had forced the COMPLETE bulldozing of getting any kind of exploration of Gus’s mental state esp after SEEING INTO THE MIND OF THE WORST GUY EVER. This is soooo perfect!! When he’s overwhelmed with anxiety he already has trouble differentiating between what’s real and what’s not because of his powers OF COURSE he would have episodes of getting stuck in Belos’s shoes and not being able to get back to his own life and mind

This really makes you reflect on how much Gus went through. Seeing all that Belos did and not really having anyone to rely on, even Hunter and Luz having eachother when they saw his crimes in Hollow Mind. Even now with Hunter having Willow and Luz Amity, Gus being the one left out and not to mention being the youngest. I know Hunter is a good friend of his but he still has a stronger connection with Willow with his crush.

I've wanted to see an Owl House animatic to this song for a very long time. I never even considered it following Gus's perspective, but after watching this, I can say that was an incredible choice. I would've loved to see this arc play out in the show. But seeing it here, without pulling any punches on just how brutal Belos's memories are, you did the idea justice. And this animatic will forever have a place in my headcanon.

This is so so so underrated!! I am genuinely in awe of the camera angles and the USE OF FLASHES!! Wow! This is one of those animatics that stick with you. The Hunter/Grimwalker sequence was BONE chilling

я не ожидала насколько хороша эта анимация... Очень необычно, но приятно видеть в центре внимания Гаса, потому что в сериале на него решили забить и не раскрывать как персонажа должным образом. Конечно, у него была своя арка в сюжете, но я думаю ему еще было куда расти (так же как и Хантеру с Виллоу) Поэтому я только сейчас задумалась, что Гаса, как 12 летнего подростка, должно быть сильно травмировала увиденная жизнь Бэлоса в введениях. Этот мужик делал слишком жуткие вещи для детского диснеевского сериала А еще! ваша постановка кадров просто божественна, надеюсь это увидит как можно больше людей ! спасибо за работу, я буду пересматривать это еще тысячу раз :)

BRO I..... I ???????? HELLO ??? This is SUCH a good concept holy shit your story boarding skills are absolutely crazy. And the fact that this is a Gus-centric animatic ?? Holy shit you did such an amazing job at giving this animatic the same chaotic fever-induced-nightmare energy that the song has and it does such a good job at portraying Gus's (frankly very glossed over) dealing with witnessing the Horrors™. My god i could go on about this but i dont think i have coherent words for it tbh, just,, this is really good. Not sure if you have planned to polish this storyboard, but I bet the end result would be incredible. Even so, you have such a clear and solid vision with your boards and the themes youre trying to convey that even with it not being a fully polished animation every beat is recognizable and readable (your way of drawing facial expressions and body language ????? OUGH i am in awe). All that to say, watching this video isnt enough i need to absorb it through my pores
