Lincoln's rise to national prominence was one of the most significant events of great fortune and destiny, if one beleves in destiny, in the entire history of the USA. Underestimated by all of the people who came up against him on his rise to office. And underestimated by the extremely wealthy plantation owners of the economic powerhouse of the south, which represented the largest share of the USA export economy to Europe and the rest of the world. To think, a country bumpkin with a two person law office in Springfield IL, brought all of this down and redirected the country on its continued path to every citizen's right to freedom, eqyality, and tge pursuit of Happiness. Any African American who has been conned into believing that Lincoln was not a great supporter of the abolition of slavery, has been deluded by lies and deliberate misinformation by those seeking to rewrite history for their own benefit.

Lincoln was ultimately a moral crusader. That’s why freed slaves treated him like the second coming of Christ. Yet even within these comments, we have evil people calling Lincoln a war criminal.
