This is actually THE MOST DETAILED MCSR Explanation I've seen, which actually answers all of the Important questions into ONE Video which most creators don't bother to answer because they assume that the viewer already knows this.. but these the questions that arise in a Speedrunning ameture's Mind!! True, this game is so amazing that all of this info is over explained on a simple level, but really under explained on how to actually consistently do the strats and all of the other little but important unexplained strats that you only gain from experience. There is so much know-how about this game to execute the perfect Minecraft speedrun, along with insane rng. There are just so many details to consider in a single run.

With the amount of seeds being rolled today by highly skilled mechanical players, I'm a believer in sub 6 minutes in 2024. I also believe that sub 5 minutes will be the last minute barrier ever broken in java rsg but that will take years (and at least one more cheated wr) to finally see happen.

@Henry Wilkins the category will die one day, but running the game won't die any time soon. If you want my real hot take, I think some top runners and seed finders will start taking a serious look at the displaced spawning mechanics of 1.18+ and Java runs will become more similar to how Bedrock is played; stronghold first. 1.18+ will be the second RSG category to reach sub 10 minutes even with the suboptimal piglin trades.

idk if sub 5 is gonna happen in rsg. Theoretically it's possible with an incredibly lucky seed but even in fsg it's quite difficult to get sub 5 so I don't think it's that feasible in rsg

I love the explanations on the pie chart -- comprehensive yet not overly detailed or focuses on rotely identifying numbers. I never knew the orange slices pertained to lag, even after learning the method!

3 months later... he still hasn't learned most of these things. Like his whole approach is wrong. He only generates 1 seed he doesn't care about treasures at all

Very well explained :) I have a question tho, why do speedrunners pause the game couple times while the eye of ender is in the air when trying to find the stronghold?

we call that pause buffering, it pretty much allows runners to get as accurate a reading as possible. pausing masks it way easier

The problem with the fastest time estimation is that they think:"What's the best possible time with today's strategies?". They don't really think about revolutionary discoveries that could change speedrunning entirely(which is basically what mapless treasure did.

I don't think the 1.16 RSG world record will ever go beneath about 6 minutes and 40 seconds because no one has even came close to an end enter as close as 5 minutes and 30 seconds, but speedrunners have almost gotten a sub-6 minute end enter before.

the boat actually broke into sticks and planks which means that fall damage would have worked had he not gotten out of the boat the second before it landed.

it broke because of him getting out, there are some fall heights where the boat breaks and you take fall damage but it happens a lot more on accident when you get out before it lands, the mechanics behind it are complicated

Can someone explain the fire placement at 6:41 ? I assume it affects the piglins pathfinding for them to not get stuck or something like that but I'm not really sure.

I honestly do think the wr will be around 4 minutes, with enough time and dedication someone will get the perfect run, it's impossible until its done

To me, the ninjabrain bot is no different than pulling up chunk base and seeing exactly where the stronghold is. Comparing a calculator that gives you exact coordinates to mods that make the game run in a stable condition is just stupid

Dont know what it is, but like the past week or so, im pretty sure ive seen 2 sub 9 runs. 1 of them almost beating this wr by a good amount. Its insane the amount of close runs there have been within a week or so

Housing has 12 gold blocks, 3 in the middle section. Stables is so random it can have 0-32 gold blocks

If you mean using resource pack with custom language that’s not allowed but there are some strays with inbuilt language since they affect the recipe book
