I have seen this movie when I was a child in Vietnam, now at 62 I am glad to see again, wonderful.

This is the first film I ever saw. As a child, I was taken to see this film by my school. I was about six-years-old. I will never forget it. It had a profound impression on me and I was haunted by it for years after. The little boy who played Marcelino, Pablito Calvo, was a superb actor and his smile could melt icebergs. A truly beautiful child. He was so full of innocence and goodness. It was a deeply moving and powerful film. For years afterwards I searched for the film in DVD shops but couldn't find it. I have now found it on KZfaq. It was originally in Spanish but was dubbed into English. It's a masterpiece. The superb actor, Pablito Calvo, died from a brain aneurysm at the age of 51 in 2000. I am sure he's in heaven with God. As long as I live I will never forget this wonderful, deeply moving film and it's superb child actor. Indeed, all the actors in the film were magnificent.

74 years ago my father gave me this story as a gift.and I read it so many tes because I really believed in the happenings and Marcellinos search for his mother...the book is now old but in mint condition and noe I read and explain it to my grandchildren... It was so good to see it on my phone after so long and I now have it copied for future use.. A gift I remain a treasure for posterity...Amen..

As we are all God's little children, like Marcelino, we make mistakes, cause chaos and destruction, disobey, but when we approach our Lord Jesus at the foot of the Cross, He comes, loves and forgives us, and one day, will take us home to Heaven, to be with Him and Our Mother Mary, Our Father, The Holy Spirit, and our mothers and families. Thank You Jesus, our Forgiving, Merciful, Loving Savior.

I can’t believe I ran across this movie! I saw this years and years ago and ordered it from a Catholic video catalog but I never saw it on KZfaq! What a gem of a movie and thank you for posting it! God bless you!

This is a wonderful film. 1955 aka 'Marcelino Pan y Vino'. There was limited (expensive) DVD distribution. This is the best version; if it is a little fuzzy here, it serves to make the dubbing invisible. There was a later spanish language color remake that was never dubbed in English. I remember this as a delightful surprise discovery one christmas (or boxing day) some 40 years ago. Thank you for bring it to KZfaq.

I saw this movie back in the late 1950's at our school St Mary's. They showed it on a screen for all the classes one year and I never forgot it. Remember being so mesmerized by it. Beautiful story

That was really sweet a problem child meets with Jesus is accepted, loved by Him and the problem child’s nature changes, Jesus brings out the best in Him. Sorta like our lives with Christ we spend time with God praying, reading the word, worshiping, talking to Jesus like a friend and we are changed.
