Momo Yaoyorozu creation power is better than Ladybug

What really frustrates me about the “purify akuma” thing is that based on lore, Ladybug shouldn’t have that since the butterfly miraculous isn’t supposed to be used for evil. So why would Ladybug even have that power? But if they wanted the “fix everything” factor, just have both Ladybug and Chat Noir do it since it’s basically destroying destruction and creating new properties.

I actually wish they gave cat noir the ability to purify akuma's since the concept of destroying the akumatization from cat noir makes sense. It makes no sense for creation to purify an akuma. Cat noir is literally left in the dust alot of times in terms of power since cat noir has one power while ladybug has technically 3 and she is the leader, making cat noir like a normal other holder instead of a partner.

I swear, if Astruc tries to explain the power by saying "The Miraculous Ladybugs don't actually fix stuff like Ladybug thought, but instead creates a new reality around what's been damaged so that it was never damaged in the first place" or something like that, I'm going to lose it. I'm especially worried because if I'm not mistaken, the S5 finale is called Re-Creation, meaning something will most likely be recreated.

One of my issues of Miraculous is that it's background is so empty and people there are just lifeless which is very odd for show that takes place in Paris. When there is people, they just either walking, screaming from someone who's Akumatized, or cheering for Ladybug. Like there's literally only one Police officer(Roger) and one fireman. The show even showed a SWAT team a couple of times but they barely do anything and get destroyed very easily

This is honestly reminding me of the character Mulan from both the original and the remake. The original Mulan was able to show herself empowering and strong by being creative, compassionate, tenacious, etc, all traits we can relate and aspire from. Mulan from the remake, however, only became powerful by having actual magical powers that makes her training unnecessary and null and void. This is something that reminds me of Ladybug’s overpowered Miraculous. I definitely agree that Ladybug should be only restricted to creation if the magic rule is that only one concept per Kwami, and Cat Noir should be the one purifying the Akuma. But if you want to put in damage reversal of sorts, do something like Callimara did and have it be a power duo both the Ladybug and Black Cat have to use together to recreate structures and destroy rubbles (or to an extension with mind control or magical influences, Cat Noir can destroy that perhaps). That’s it. No healing bones or injuries. No reviving the dead. Nothing. It would actually raise the stakes and consequences to actually make Gabriel an actual threat. And as for the healing or reversing magical spells from Akuma, having another Miraculous be in charge of that actually helps to give more of a reason to add more permanent heroes, and change up the dynamic overtime. If I recommend, I suggest the Bee Miraculous because one of the attributes bee connects to spiritually is healing (which is kind of my hc for my rewrite, but it also has different lores and rules so you may not agree to it in canon). Sure, now the Black Cat has more power than the Ladybug, but I think this could lead to an interesting story development and character arc. Have Ladybug make up for her one less powers in terms of her problem-solving skills and creative thinking. If you want her to get more powers, she can develop them overtime throughout the series, like those engineering powers from the concept phase like magical yo-yo tricks and new gadgets, because engineering does tie to creation! It would not only be a great character arc for Marinette, but an inspiring one for the audience to aspire them to think creatively. So many missed opportunities if they took the time to look at the issues and actually fix it.

It's almost like ladybug's power is to anulate everyone else's Besides the ones you've mentioned she has also fixed trixx's illusions , Sass's crazy paradox and arguably every time the monkey and tiger are used It really doesn't make sense

If I have to be honest, I kinda like the "healing/restoration/re-creation" of the LB power, cause for me I thought that it was a very useful ability to help with the clean up and property damage that LB and CN have caused and that the citizens/government won't be complaining much whenever they do their work as heroes and know that at the end everything will be fix. But I can also understand why it does seem too OP for LB to have that ability, and that is unfair that CN is seen as a lesser partner, since the show keeps reminding us that the LB and CN are the most powerful one out of all the Miraculouses, but really it's only LB showing off. If it's like that then I would change it to make it that they are on the same level. I would have it that Ladybug and Black Cat have two abilities, their main super power and the power to heal/purity akumas/amok. But in order to fix all the damage caused by any Miraculous/Kwamis, both the LB and BC need to be together to say *Miraculous!* and then BOOM, everything gets fix and heal. It has to be the two of them, cause you can't have one without the other. So yeah, that's how I would do it. And thanks to this video I will be doing that for my upcoming fanfic. Agree. My friends and I always complain about Ladybug's powers being too OP. I'm currently writing a miraculous based fanfic, and what I did was that I gave my Ladybug themed hero the lucky charm alone and my Cat Noir themed hero cataclysm. In order to repair the massive destruction from a battle both heroes have to work together to fix it as both heroes represent Ying and Yang!!

I think they should have make the "fix everything" power a combination of Cat Noir's and Ladybug's power. You know, creation, destruction and together they make "balance". It's literally on the miracle box. After defeating a villain both Ladybug and Cat Noir can raise their arms to the sky to activate this power. And it would give a reason to why master Fu gave the cat miraculous to Adrien while there are way more powerful miraculous's in the box.

My idea would be that the miraculous ladybug power is basically CatNoir and Ladybug both shout the phrase, if only one says it, the magic doesn't work. They have to work together to ultimately fix the problems ultimately caused by the Akuma. Also I would give purifying the Akuma to anyone who possesses a miraculous.

The biggest problem with Ladybug's miraculous. I don't like how she can fix everything! It's so Mari Sue like! If it fixed things a little, then fine. But she definitely doesn't deserve nor have the right to fix everything so she's praised for it. No wonder she doesn't care that Cat Noir got beaten up in Weredad. I agree with this video. Ladybug's powers are too op. Ecspecialy when both the ladybug and cat miraculous is suppose to be yin and yang. Giving Adrien the power to purify would be better. And also making the magical cure only available when both unify their powers together. Not like one person using both miraculous at once to recreate the universe. But more like, the power doesn't get so strong when there's two persons having their own power flow through them more calmer. And the way they activate it is to hold eachother's hands. Kinda like the magical girl series pretty cure where in the first season the two protagonist needed to hold hands to transform and use special magical attacks.

I think that what Astruc is doing is that he's giving to each miraculous special abilities with their powers, so I think that purifying is an ability, because Ladybugs are a sign of pure. And I think she can purify akumas and amoks because if you remember correctly, in the Origins Story part 1, Wayzz said that he felt a dark aura coming from the holder of the butterfly miraculous, which means impure, so I think that my theory is that your personality can change the miraculous power when you're using it, if you're a mean rat, u would be impure, and all the powers u would use with a miraculous, could then get purified by the ladybug miraculous. And it would have gave an interesting nerf if Hawkmoth had the cat miraculous from the start since black cats are a sign of impurity. Because then, with it, he could impurify akumas, and with the cataclysm, it'd be great! it's such a missed out opportunity. And I think that the ladybug miraculous can also fix everything because ladybugs are good at fixing things, so it's also an ability, but I think Thomas made it look like a power because it's one of the strongest miraculouses, obv. In the fanfic my friend and I are (slowly) writing, we decided that the "fixing" thing is actually a joint effort between LB and CN. That way both are necessary and neither are more important. Also, one of the miraculous will have a healing/restoration power. Probably one of the zodiac.

I saw that Thomas astruc about the purification of the akumas is that she would have this ability because the guardian (the first one) decided to put this magic in her weapon so that whenever she hears a butterfly or peacock villain or something similar, she has some miraculous with the power to do, and about miracles Ladybug really doesn't have much, except that cat noir also has the power to see in the dark which is not to do with destruction so I think they may have powers beyond their concepts

I just realized something does butterfly/peacock miraculous holder choose what powers the akumatized person gets? It’s never really explained. Does it depend on what the akumatized person is upset or sad about. And also why can’t Gabriel just spam the butterfly/peacock mutiple times I haven’t seen a limit. The butterfly miraculous requirement is that the person has to feel “negative emotions” and the peacock miraculous can create a sentimonster from any object.

I think fixing things sounds more like a power of the snake, rabbit or goat miraculous.

Thank you, it would make SO MUCH more sense if BOTH ladybug and cat noir need to be present to use the "miraculous ladybug" power- because it is basically a restauration, and restaurations go to both destruction and creation process. also, lets just talk about how the power itself makes no sense???? It should fix everything that was related to the akuma, still in dark cupid sabrina's actions with the adrien poster chloe had weren't reversed- and in "revelation" all of the photos nathalie sent lila were still in her phone, even thought it was made by a DIRECT order of the akuma. like, it just makes no sense, there's no rule that's been followed, they just decide what will and will not be "corrected" depending on the episode. Sometimes people will go back to the places they were in the first place, sometimes they will stay at the place they were when the akuma was defeated. It just doesn't have a fix logic and it is SO DIFFICULT for me to rewrite this power considering it was just added for plot convenience

I feel like the miraculous cure would have been better if it was only something the ladybug and black cat could do together. It would make them equally important and explain why both were sent out.

This is the only solution/theory I have that would make her powers make sense: Since Ladybug can create anything she wants, maybe that same concept goes with Tikki, as she can make her own desired Lucky Charm (Dearest Family with the Galette)? Like, what if Tikki just decided to create her own rules and have a say in what the Ladybug powers can do aka fix damage and purify akumas?

If I were rewriting Miraculous(*cough *cough I'm am)Ladybug and Cat Noir would need to use the power of their miraculous together since the power of creation alone couldn't fix things, but with the power of destruction the two together can "fix" things by recreating what was damaged(do not confuse this with replace and create a copy of people and objects, for an injured person for example, the miraculous recreated the cells and properties that make the person be healthy as they were before the battle, and for objects it would be the same thing but with the atoms and materials used to make that object).

I feel like they did this because they needed the ladybug to stand out more than the literal 18 other miraculous in the box because marrinete has that miraculous and is the main character and she needs to be special.

Personally, I would worked out the system othet way: Lucky charm/Cataclysm stays, BUT! The Cataclysm countdown would start from the power usege, not from the summoning Ladybugs Lucky charm would be explaind to be "made from her positive energy" so sacrafiesing it she can negate the akuma(tized) -since it's negative energ- nullifieing it's main effect, but not fixing it, only peaple returnes from the effect of the akuma (BUT ONLY FROM THE EFFECT) - Their fistbump would be the activator for the power MIRACULOUS, which would have the same affect as Miraculous Ladybug, but now from both powers

And I agree with your assessment that making one character, usually a ladybird has all the power which can fix all the problems being able to purify evil butterflies repair all damage single-handedly, and that mr-pigeon 72 incident, along with its implications of being able to do anything. You compare this to every other miraculous, which seems so far to have only a few powers the rabbit can time travel through a portal, The fox creates illusions, etc. well, I get that The ladybug is supposed to be the most powerful is not the cat also considered to be its power however is weaker than some of the other powers in the box like the rabbit or ox. Making it so cat noir gets rid of Akuma and can clean up the debris left behind by battles would undoubtedly make their status as the two most powerful ones more believable. Instead of standing, it seems like one of the powers has way more power on its own than the other.

Welp I honestly feel Ladybug is the hero of luck and Char noir the hero of bad luck, embodied in Creation and Destruction. Ladybug doesn't really create what she wants, she is allowed an object filled with luck when she calls lucky charm, the true hero who can create stuff is Caprikid, same as the hero who can truly Destroy stuff is Purple Tigress, Chat noir just happens to give bad luck to whatever he touches, which can come in the form of a cataclysm. All heroes can play around with their concept, we have just not seen anyone aside from bug and moth done it by far.

Honestly i could forgive miraculous ladybug if it was the powers of the ladybug and cat COMBINED like the cat miraculous would destroy the leftover debris (and deteriorate the powers of the villain which would pretty much transform everyone who became a reflekta back to normal as an example) and the ladybug miraculous would create replacements for everything that the villain or other heroes ended up destroying intentionally or accidentally (specially because unlike what Thomas thinks NO ladybug and cat noir shouldn't be a "she's barbie,he's just ken" type situation,they're ying and yang they're meant to be equally as important)

This, however, necessitates that whatever is being fixed is inanimate and has taken significant damage and needs 'new' parts. Like the building in your example clip, the crack can be fixed by re-forming the glass. Use on people however makes no sense. I agree that purging impurities should be a Destruction power, but only for those who can really get that kind of thing down. Like, we know Adrien is a smart guy, so he could pull it off by knowing what shouldn't be there. But, say, someone like Kim trying to use it would only end in disaster. A nice balance and better feels like the Chat isn't just a one time delete button.

That's why in my rewrite of Miraculous Ladybug, I corrected it so that miraculous ladybug relies on both Ladybug and Chat Noir to REPLACE broken things.

I also thought and believed for a while that ladybug have supernatural luck and that it comes with lucky charm to help her solve the situations. And that it can be used outside of the lucky charm. Also, the ability is called LUCKY charm, you know luck. That is also why I believed that she had supernatural luck.

Imo Ladybug is way too op (overpowered), she makes Cat Noir seem completely useless because I think she doesn’t even need him at all, we’ve even seen her fight a villain without Cat Noir. Shadybug has proven that Ladybug can create *anything* she wants, because if you saw the special episode with Shadybug, she creates handcuffs to tie Claw Noir up, she wanted handcuffs so the luckycharm created it for her, she wanted s car so it was created. If Ladybug wanted to create swords like ShadyBug did then she honestly wouldn’t need Cat Noir to help her.

Maybe to fix stuff Cat Noir and Ladybug have to work together. As for why, well it could be a minor form of the wish unification, because the powers aren't truly combined, but still. Also it has limited range, but can be activated even when on cooldown, because it doesn't drain either enough to mater. (And because of convenience for the show, which is important. And sidenote: make the Chinese elements represented by the Bee, Turtle, Butterfly, Peacock, and Fox told. Because the Cat and Ladybug are Yin and Yang, and the other 12 are the animals. But the elements, unknown. Besides 2 which are just guesses. That being Fox as fire, and Turtle as water. But by overlaying the element chart we get Bee as wood, which makes sence. Butterfly as earth, plants are close to earth and they like plants. And Peacock as metal, because their tails look like hand fans, and automatic fans are metal I guess. Eh metal is hard to explain for anything, besides Turtles having high defence, but then we have to make up a reason for Turtle not being water.

Also, I agree with other people fixing the issues instead of miraculous magic. Marvel has a team of people that fix the things from fights between the heroes and villains in the comics. Why can't Miraculous have that instead of giving Ladybug another power that's just as powerful as the wish.

Destruction and creation aren’t polar opposite concepts. You cannot make anything without destroying something. You cannot creat a statue without first destroying the marble from which it is made from, you cannot pain without a canvas that comes from the death of trees Destruction and creation are merely how we humans perceive it

Actually if you look at the old miracle box the ladybug earrings and cat ring where they are placed it looks like the Chinese yin and yang know ladybugs power represents creation and light/good the cat represents destruction and darkness/bad luck and since ladybugs powers she can fix things and pure the akuma her power of the yang/light we know light heals things while darkness destroys and brings bad luck so honestly I think she is able to do those things because of her side of yin and yang yang/light also having darkness in it shows yeah some of ladybugs powers can effect things destructively

I think the miraculous ladybug is just to remove tension and keep things silly, you can have creative and very destructive villains for kids to watch and not have a very high death toll, syren flooded all of paris, stormy weather is.... stormy weather

I think the only way to fix this power probabem while also maintaining the story as it is( unless you're making a rewrite of course) it's if the only way to purify and fix everything is if chat and ladybug do some sort of duo magic that's like using the wish you get if you unify the two miraculouses whitoute having to unify them if that makes sense ( it's more of a duo combo in the end of the fight like many magical girl anime's and shoes usually have where the heroes use a group attack to defeat the villain of the day)

That's what I don't get with the powers of the miraculous. Like, I get that as you get older your power will be probably last longer. However, in Passion when Ladybug/Marinette got paralyzed by the bee's power, she got out of it when her miraculous was taken off. If that's how it works then why doesn't it work the same way for Bunnix/Older Alex?

as I was re-watching the Jem and the Holograms cartoon, I can't help but think Ladybug gives homages/easter eggs to it(can only transform, with earnings &with a catchphrase, the minor antagonist being a spoiled rich girl) coincidence yes,(as granted Steven Universe, is the series that incorporated the most from the said 1985-88 cartoon)

The problem with Miraculous LB is that they keep changing the rules, like in season 4 they just suddenly added that LB can create anything, she just has limits 😅. This was a dumb idea because if she can create anything, then why hasn't she created another miraculous? Or anything that can stop hawk moth. They just keep making stuff up.🙄 I have a better idea for the Miraculous powers. Have LB call on her lucky charm to help her in the situation, Cat distracts the villain, and LB traps them. This way, they both play a role in trapping the bad guy. Then LB can find the object and Cat can cataclysm it since it has an akuma. Have Chat Noir purify the Akuma instead, with purification powers not cataclysm, and then have both of them use their powers to fix the city. BALANCE ⚖️.

I think the reason why they added the miraculous Ladybug was because the show is for kids and if they left a lot of colateral damage, dead people and broken buildings it would ruin the city and be too dark for a kids show. I know that it still doesn't excuse bad writing. I like your idea of letting CN purify akumas. Personally, i think the show should have gone with your idea but made it so that once the akuma was released, all damage automatically stops and reversed and CN only has to capture the akuma.

I think the Miraculous Ladybug only fixes damages causes by powers of other Miraculous. So if we had a villain that destroys stuff without being powered by an Akuma or a Miraculous, her power cannot fix what they do. Dont know if its theory or confirm, but I think Miraculous Ladybug does that cus it is the most powerful Miraculous and it had the duty of reverting whatever other Miraculous does.....I think......

Ladybug is over powered, her fix everything power is like most modern magical girls (pretty Cure) fix when win ability but in Pretty Cure it happens upon the monsters defeat not an extra step after, what should happen is upon purification the Akuma itself fixes the damage not ladybug

here's a concept for Ladybugs Purification. since akumas (to My Knowledge) thrive on negative emotion, the ladybug miraculous just creates a bombardment of positive energy that Neutralises it. this would fit the cannon without breaking the lore. for the fixing ability, perhaps it transports the original elsewhere (as in to another planate or a pocket dimension) while creating a perfect replica in its place. does that mean everyone healed by the ladybug miraculous is actually dead and replaced with a perfect clone? Possibly. depending on the severity of the injury and the shift in aperance

When she creates a lucky charm it time stamps like the snake. She literally reverses reality back to that point with "miraculoys ladybug" - thats y buildings, deaths and everything in between come back when she does it. Its similar to the snake but without the timelimit of 5 mins. She's esentually "creating" a timestamp each time she uses it marked by the point of its creation - and when the villian is defeated and the luckycharm released, it "recreates" reality snapping it back to the exact moment of the charms creation sans the villian and subsiquent damage. It still keeps it as a creation power as described, albeit one that works will ill-defined concepts of its rules. Having said that, i agree about the purification of the akuma, that doesn't flow with established creation abilities, but with Ladybug being the main character I'm assumimg its done as a magical girl trope, but who knows lol.
