Just FYI that school girl kidnapped by her class mates is actually a thing that happened :/ they held her prisoner and abused her for a long time before she died from the injuries and they tried to hide the body in a cement block at a construction site :/

I wasn't sure if they were referencing Junko or not. It's so much worse than simply holding her prisoners and abusing her though. It's an extremely demented, scarring case and it's thought that easily a hundred people knew about her but the boys who kidnapped her had ties with the yakuza so nobody said anything out of fear, or because they ALSO played a part in her torture. Please read about it at your own risk. I read it not realizing what it was and just the thought makes me sick to my stomach.

The ending was incredibly telegraphed, but that didn't keep the game from being tense. Great job on this one, Tom and Simon (and Josh).

Hey Tom, I think you should check out Puzzle Agent. It's a point and click puzzle game by Telltale games with great atmosphere and even some nice spookums, pretty much everything what The Riddlebros are about. I think you and Simon would love it!

So, I followed along with this (mostly) until the lights went out. I get it, the guy kidnapped and/or killed the girl and is keeping her around while pretending (or genuinely believing) she's a doll. But what was up with sticking the butterfly in the woman's head and fixing her up. She obviously wasn't a doll...so what did he actually do? Did he glue doll pieces over her face? I'm very confused.

It seems apparent that he killed her, and it's possible that in doing so, he made a mess of her face, and so he put it back together, as he sees it. Probably in reality it looks more like something Doctor Frankenstein put together than a porcelain doll, but he's clearly completely nuts. Given the lack of obvious decay on the missing girl and the fact that no one complained of any smell, it's likely he is using something to preserve her. I wonder if any of the other endings give you clues as to what drove him this nuts. He seems to be extremely lonely, but so afraid of being abandoned or betrayed that the only companions he keeps are dolls and dead butterflies, which obviously can do neither of those things. When that wasn't enough, he evidently moved on to kidnapping and murder.
