Out of all of the youtubers I watched over the years. I had never seen anyone that took criticism, used the criticism to improve their content, trys to do things that people didn't ask for but did it so well that its a welcoming addition as much as the gamer from mars. It really shows that you are quite possibly the best youtuber of all time!

Why are 80s cartoons and some 90s, always creepy? Looking at that cartoon as an adult, it’s still creepy. The animation, sound, and narration. Everything about it.

Communist animation was made by perfectionists making art in their own style, with no outside influence whatsoever from Western cartoons. And some shorts were made by beginners, trying to grasp at how proper animation is made. That's why it's not consistent, looks off-model, or is just weird in general. Then again, some cartoons from that time are exceptionally well-made, such as Mystery of the Third Planet, Mowgli (coincidentally made while the Disney one was being made), Nu Pogodi, Private Investigation held by the Kolobki, and (Little) Hedgehog in the Fog.

I'm surprised this is the first I'm hearing of this. I had seen that short as a kid, but I watched 'Pinwheel' as a child on Nickelodeon. I knew exactly what cartoon you were talking about from the description, though I would never have been able to tell you the name of it. As soon as you said it appeared on 'Pinwheel', I could even hear the theme song in my head: "Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around..." edit: Damn, I'm old... >.

My "Clockman" was an animated short called "The Treasure of the Grotoceans". Nowadays you can find it easily on Google, but I searched for over 10 years once, and ended up buying a copy from the film board of Canada after emailing them in search of it. I introduced my little sister to this cartoon a few weeks ago, and as we were watching it together, my mom came in. She asked what it was about, so I told her a mini synopsis of the video and about how it had been missing since the 70's. To my shock, she actually remembered seeing it, and came to watch it with us because it reminded her of her childhood! We also showed her 'Crack Master', and she said she recognized the voice, but nothing about the animation. Either way, I think it's super cool that she got to see this little cartoon and let it connect the three of us through our interest in it!

You know, as time goes on more and more stuff turns up missing. (Animations/TV shows) and I find it very interesting when the companies that made them, like Cartoon Network with the Moxie and Flea show (I think it’s called that) or pilots for any show that locked behind companies. You’d think companies would release these shows/videos to the public, but no. Most of the time it’s like talking to a wall.

Oh man, as a kid growing up in the '80s with cable TV, I freakin' *loved* Pinwheel. My favorite segment was a stop-motion animation short about anthropomorphic hats -- I liked the sombrero character best. There's another obscure old Nickelodeon cartoon I really liked, but has been forgotten by time: Dr. Snuggles. Everyone I know claims the show never existed, but from doing some research I found out it was in fact a Dutch cartoon dubbed in English, and way back when I was like 3 or 4 they'd play reruns of it on classic Nickelodeon.

Even though I only really participated in the search a week before the short was found (guess you could say I was a good luck charm,) I still love that LMW managed to accomplish this. I was one of the people who helped to recover the English dub after the original Czech dub was uncovered. It was awesome to be a part of that experience, but NitrateNerd gets the real props for figuring out the short's name! :) I like GFM's Internet Mysteries videos. I feel like they're something a little more unique to this channel. There's a place for the What Happened To series, but these will definitely remain my favourites.

This sounds a lot like the Creepypasta, Candle Cove. I did a reading of it on my channel. This sounds similar but way more realistic because it's talking about a real network in its early days. A network with a LOT of lost media.

Since you seem to be good at finding obscure cartoons, maybe you can help me solve MY mystery. I can't remember the name of the puppet show, but it was set in a nursery and the 2 puppets were of an accordion baby girl and boy blanket. Can anyone help me, please?

the fact that the people vaguely remembering it, incorrectly recalling the child being male, and being male themselves, truly speaks for how terrifying the short story actually managed to be: it's like the empathy cringe factor in horror films. Also don't ever stop your style of including sponsored content and your intro/outro narratives, it is compelling and fun.

Yooo I've just stumbled onto your channel but I'm pretty amazed by not only how well thought your commentaries are but how cinematic your skits and little details are. Its kinda crazy to see this kind of quality by a lesser known Creator and I tink what you're doing is super cool and you should be way more known.

There is a show I remember that seemed to be completely lost... All I know about the show is that it was a cartoon network show from about 2010 by the name of Rad Roach. There's no information about it anywhere, I have only seen a single screenshot of it from a bumper advertising it. It seems now a single episode (episode 6) has resurfaced... but a few years ago, all that was existing was a single screenshot. i49.vbox7.com/o/121/121743090.jpg Here is a link to the only episode I've ever found: www.epicwonder.com/content-/ I know its just a shitty cartoon, but, it's really weird to me that I'm the only person who remembers it? I'm seriously curious about it...
