Taj Jackson joins Jamon Bull, Elise Capron, Charlie Carter, and Charles Thomson to celebrate the holidays and reflect on this past year… Welcome to The MJCast’s ninth annual Christmas special!
The crew discusses the year that was, including the final version of the Thriller40 documentary; Marcos Cabota’s problems with finding a distributor for his own Thriller documentary, Sonic Fantasy; a major auction of Dick Zimmerman’s Thriller album cover test Polaroids and camera; and drama around a digital release of The Jackson 5’s first-ever recording. Plus, the team covers updates on MJ: The Musical, the Robson and Safechuck court cases, the MJ biopic, and Taj shares the latest developments on his docuseries project, as well as insights into the happenings within both the Jackson family and fan community circles.

Kids in my sons class (high school) was saying “Michael Jackson bleached his skin” my son has vitiligo so he said “no dummies he had vitiligo like I do” and all the kids were like ohhhh we didn’t know that. I told him good job your teaching them something!

Taj is the epitome of class and grace. His family has been attacked beyond measure. Taj doesn't need to apologize for being tired of the negativity. I am impressed that his demeanor remains consistent. He is truly a decent man.

Thankyou MJ cast for these wonderful podcasts, it enlightens us to all that is going on in the world of michael jackson. It is so important to have this Podcast out there to keep michaels memory alive, it does seem at times the estate is trying to dim michaels light but you keep it bright, what a great time.And to have Taj on board is a blessing. He loved his uncle so deeply we know his work for his docuseries will show that, there is no rush, we are going no where, we can wait to have the bright light if michael in our lives again. As a human being and an artist, Michael remarkable legacy is presence and forever, Guiness book record is the witness of this. Each piece of Michael music created is unique mix of style across the 80s 90s released or not yet released. A gem for the younger generation to discover and be inspired. Hello so happy to be here listening to everyone discussing Michael and his past, present and future. It’s so important and can’t say that enough. Taj,and everyone thank you so much🙏🏼❤️I quite liked the 40th Thriller documentary (To me who knows alot about Michael). For those who don’t I felt it was a good introduction for them. They can see how significant and amazing he was. I loved the footage and interviews of those who worked with MJ. I think the Tik Tok guy at least shows us how a newer mega social media platform is absolutely wild about Michael Jackson. Taj I do agree about the doc needed to let the people know how important Michael’s brothers and family in general were. I always think…”What would Michael think?” He would 💯 agree with you Taj. I know there was a time thing and how much can you fit in two hours… Not much but still it could’ve been inclusive to Michael, his brothers and the family. Ps Taj…we hear you and trust you implicitly! God bless you and your family. No pressure!! Please!🙏🏼 ❤

I agree with Taj! I also cringe when folks downplay the brother’s role in music history. I am the same age as Taj and I saw the Victory Tour and in my opinion it was the best tour because it was a family tour. All of the brothers are very talented so put some respect on their names.

I want to say thank you to the MJCast crew for their new and interesting episode. I enjoyed the discussion so much! Thank you, Taj, for joining the team and providing your thoughtful insights. I must say, I am quite disappointed that the Estate chose a director, Nelson G, who made such disgusting and defamatory comments about Michael Jackson. It's disheartening to think that he might have been aware of Michael's innocence in 2005 and the Arvizo family's attempt to extort money through false allegations. Additionally, he should have known that Michael's change in skin color was due to a skin condition called vitiligo. His statements were not only inaccurate but also offensive, and he should have offered at least an apology for his misguided and shameful interpretation. It's evident that he was not presenting facts but rather expressing his negative opinions. His remarks were far from the truth!

Thank you mj cast for another great episode and a great discussion, great to see you Taj and thank you so much for everything you do for Michael, you are a great strength to us, totally agree to everything you all discussed here and especially thank you for bringing up Thriller 40 documentary and Nelson G who directed it, its sad that estate repeatedly make these big mistakes of choosing poeple who said untruthful and heinous things about Michael in the past and didn't clear up their comments after all these years, when I heard about the things Nelson G said in the past I decided not to watch Thriller 40 documentary but later changed my mind bc its about Michael and the greatest and the best selling album of all time 'Thriller ' but the whole time I was watching the documentary the shadow of the man who directed it was on my mind , I loved the never seen before footages of Michael so much though , its so sad estate kept on making this kind of major mistakes, Hopefully they will be more cautious in the future in terms of choosing poeple to do projects of Michael and his legacy. ❤

That was something that was completely missed… Just as you said, any interview or interviews as much as they could possibly fit in… I know it’s hard to organize and fit in things but showing Michael’s family roots etc. is so important.

I know members of BTS ARMY are unhappy with the inclusion just because the compliments in there seem backhanded towards BTS. Which I kind of agree, Michael would have been far more gracious, when BTS is sincerely making their influence from Michael clear.
