Jacoby Brissett is the guy for them. He is backup and can play for them (almost the whole season). He did well for Cleveland last year. You just need a game manager at QB. Trey Lance is also an option and see what he has (rather than focus on Wilson).

The Jets cannot afford to give Zach Wilson even one game. He already showed in the Bills game that nothing has changed. This is such a good team and the organisation cannot afford to waste the opportunity. They need to go get a QB this week that can move the ball downfield.

While that may be true it's not exactly accurate on that play... It was a cut block by Duane Brown which was supposed to open up a lane to throw that way but for some reason Aaron decided to scramble to his right and he was caught..He should have gotten rid of the ball. If there is a reason why he got hurt it's artificial turf. The turf they just laid down over the summer at MetLife is said to be an upgrade over the pervious version and that they said would lessen the chance of injuries.. Lessen but not prevent.. If that game was on grass his foot would not have been anchored to the point where something had to give, which of course ended up being his Achilles.. about a month ago Aaron strained the calf muscle on that same leg.. it was a low calf strain which could have weaken ed the area..It's a sad state of affairs and I think that Zach is going to have a very rude awakening in Dallas.... It might be his Alamo...

@@1986Phoenix29 If it is his Alamo in Dallas then not having a great offensive line will be a contributing factor I'm sure. Every time that turf causes someone injury It seems to get talked about for a day or so then forgotten until the next injury. It's a shame In a league with virtually unlimited resources no one wants to spend a little extra for the players to stay healthy

Good luck!..I've always been a fan of Foles..Mariota too..(titan fan here)...I like ZW too, and maybe he can find his groove... I’m not a Zach fan, but I don’t think the Jets have a better option on the market now. If Zach struggles, then they can probably find a better QB around the trade deadline.

Josh Rosen deserves a shot. I hate the jets and I’m a fins guy but we did Rosen dirty just like Arizona did. Horrendous teams with no o line. The Jets have a decent line and he would thrive behind it. Either way hope that kid gets one more chance somewhere now that he’s more mature

Wait until Rich realizes his team cannot trade their 1st or 2nd picks for the next draft because of the Rodgers deal. Yep it's a technicality and we know Rodgers won't make %65 of the snaps, but it's still a reality. They'd need to renegotiate the terms with the Packers. Oh this is because of the rumor mill churning in MN about trading Kirk Cousins to the Jets (Why would the Vikings do this? IDK, Vikings fans are panicking after getting baked by Baker).

I have to disagree Breer to wait for zach to screw up then find a qb. I saw enough of Zack last night and previous 2 seasons to know he isn’t the answer. Find a qb now to learn the system get acclimated bc zach Wilson will screw up. Witness the spectacular catch made by Garrett last night he actually played DB and WR at the same. It was a horrible pass right to the DB in the end zone!!!

They should tank. Hear me out. Most teams with a high pick in the draft are not ready to compete for anything. However, the Jets are if they had a good QB. Suffering through a bad year this year means a talented team will have a chance at drafting a talented QB. Then, if Rodgers comes back, he can sit a year behind him and learn. The Jets, if they lose a lot, are kind of starting down a possible Mahomes to the Chiefs situation. I mean, most tanking teams do it by trading away all their best players, which means they're gonna suck for a few years after they get their QB in the draft. The Jets may only need Zach Wilson to go be the Wilson he had been so far. Although, the defense may look good enough to make up for Wilson's play; at least enough times to ruin the tank. Also, no, I'm not a Jets fan. I just think the Jets have this weird opportunity that usually only comes when an already good team trades away a bunch of draft capital to go get the QB they want and it be a good situation for him. They just need Zach to be Zach.

I wonder if they could trade for Kyler Murray? Arizona is obviously tanking. I'd also sign Foles. He's clutch. He's the backup QB version of Eli. Up and down. Up he's a world champion. Down he's bad. In either or both cases Zach Wilson should still start unless he fails.
