Actually, the marine can pull their arms out of the mechanical sleeves, this is called "Sleep Mode". Basically, the suit goes offline so the marine can do stuff like drink some juice, FINALLY scratch their back, light some smoke, and lastly eat a whopper.

Nah, image satellites have had the resolution to read fine print text since the late 90's. They can tell this thing is made of styrofoam or what have you. Especially since they'd also run infrared and see it isn't putting out exhaust.

I can't wait until someone figures out how to bridge the Gap between the legs and the chest plate. I've seen some people using aluminum rods that hold up black fabric, but those bend and ultimately poke the guy inside. It's still really cool but I can't wait to see how much better suits like this will evolve.

The technology exists, for real full plate armors. The problem is its a bit finicky. Its armored plates that both slide up and down but also rotate inside of the other pieces. Would probably take some good effort to make them work and look good.

I can promise you this will never, ever, ever find use in any practical way shape or form. This is foam, rubber, plastics and other light materials designed purely for aesthetic purpouses and as useless to an engineer as a fart in the wind. There's nothing a mobile suit could do that a drone or tank (or a combination of the two) couldn't do better.

There might be use for exoskeletons in the workplace and handicap aid spaces in the near future if robotics and ai don't eat the whole market up. But not full plated armored suits. Any armor that can be lifted by actuators or motors of any kind would be easily pierced by relatively light bullets. It's just not practical.
