I never thought I'd see the day, but modders managed to fix Elden Ring's biggest flaw - the multiplayer. But not only that, countless aspects of regular play have also been improved and made so much more fun, and for all of these improvements, we may thank the passionate and skillful modders behind the excellent Seamless Coop and Elden Ring Reforged mods. I only hope these get updated for Shadow of the Erdtree soon enough!

Up until just a few weeks ago, I had no idea how easy these mods would be to install, or how seamlessly (no pun intended) they would work together. But after just a few minutes of simple downloads and moving of folders, I was having more fun in Souls/Elden Ring multiplayer than I ever have, and it's because of how fantastic and lore-friendly these mods are, not only allowing for a truly fun coop experience, but also adding features like perfect blocks and harder difficulties. This is my review of both Seamless Coop and ERR, but let me know what you think of these mods and this video in the comments, and don't forget to leave a like and subscribe to the channel :)

Can we please start a petition for official seamless co-op? I know it probably wont work but all I want is to play the game with my siblings and not have all these stupid and meaningless limitations on it. Like even if that isn't the way the game was intended to be played, can I just check a box saying I understand that and continue anyway.

Elden Ring Devs used Seamless coop to play as well and they're going to introduce it in their next tittle. They decided to use Steam's Multiplayer API instead.

ive always been a huge fan of dark souls games and elden ring but it genuinely pisses me off that everytime you die you have to constantly bring your friend back in just to do it like 5-10 minutes later

Thanks for the video! Downloaded these mods with my friend yesterday and it was a great experience. But we have only Adept Coop Difficulty. Other Coop Diffculty modes are missing. Do you know the solution?

Have you both completed the Gilded Cave tutorial and its new boss? It unlocks different difficulties and challenge options.

I've been playing elden ring with reforged and I don't think I can go back to the base game 😅 hopefully it doesn't take too long for the mod to be compatible with the new dlc!

@@TimV777 like I said in the video, you can make it harder, meaning that enemies have more hp/hit a bit harder and healing flasks restore less HP, making it feel like the challenge it's supposed to be! with the right debuffs built into the mod, it's so much more fun and tougher!

Question : do we have a separate launcher for reforged or will it overlap the base game, I loved seamless because it had a separate launcher that didnt break the base game😮

yes, it also has a separate launcher, so no meddling with the real game or real servers :)

I can't wait for reforged and seamless coop to mod the dlc. That is the best experience for me and my friends. We played the unalloyed mod and that was the best experience we had playing elden ring.

@@AndysCritique oh it's basically all-in-1 mod. An easier way to install both seamless coop and reforged with some other mods like clever's moveset pack and rings of talent. It's the best. I highly recommend it for those who are interested.

Are you on a light load? If so it replaces the light roll with the Quicksteps from Bloodborne, medium loads get the regular roll back

they are fully compatible, just make sure to use the Reforged launcher :) perhaps look up a tutorial on how to combine them, I forget how I did exactly, but it was so simple haha

@@saox_z Reforged. It also allows you to deflect by blocking right before the hit, which completely negates the damage and stamina loss.

Fairly certain it’s modded. That’s the bridge to the weeping peninsula.

Yes this is the bridge to the Weeping Peninsula, although it's part of the Reforged experience, so that walking tree sentinel is not in vanilla :)

To be honest. I do wish Vanilla Elden ring had the option to turn off Player invasions because while it is part of the experience. I do not care for it. If im playing with my friends. I dont want to have to PVP. If i want to pvp i will go to the coliseum and do pvp

they can release an update if they really care about the fans it would not be that hard they already have online mode they just need a little bit of coding of how the game will react to co op and that's it i hope they can do it soon

no, this uses an independent launcher not connected to the servers, so no chance of getting banned :)

It's definitely a lot more than just the occasional missing model of horses. There are game-breaking bugs that occur fairly often, enough to hinder the experience. Just the other day I got locked into an infinite loading loop and had to get a debugger to fix it.

Almost perfect and improves alot of things doesn't work together. Let's be real. Elden ring is great, but a really flawed base game which hid it's flaws pretty well, by players expecting it to be "difficult". But difficult doesn't have to mean frustrating and clunky.

My friends were nagging about this mod and me and 1 other friend just played the game normally I even finished it solo because I had pirated it first so there was no online and I'm happy it was that way it is mostly a single player game where u can summon a friend at times. All the other so called 'negatives' are all your own way of seeing it as another multiplayer game like many others. I do honestly think I would still never make use of this software after watching this video.

While I do love Seamless Co-op... it's a balance nightmare. When using Seamless, the game is ABSURDLY easy. Like, beyond ridiculously simply. I'm not sure what the Seamless dev did, but enemies and bosses do not feel like they noramlly do when having even 1 person in your world in Vanilla. Requiring another mod is a strange requirement to make it feel better, and is probably the biggest failing of Seamless imo. I would love it if From implemented a Seamless Co-op style update, I would just want the game to retain it's difficulty and balance while doing so.

We too noticed that the game was very easy with Seamless only. That's where Reforged came in though, which allows you to make it a lot more challenging, even more so than the base game even. It's a truly great combination!

As clunky as coop is, seamless coop lowers the amount of potential coop players for those not using it and overall hurts the game.

Nobody wants to player with friendless losers, let me play with MY friends and quit forcing me to play with pathetic people who have nothing better to do, it's not my fault nobody likes them enough to play games with them.
