I think if we want a good run soon then there's a lot of things needed in this club. 1st before I mention some of the changes I would like, these changes are not going to happen overnight so don't expect us to win a trophy in another 2-3 years. 1st change: Owners The Glazers need to go. To be honest, they are the root of all the problems at Manchester United. If you look back at the early Sir Alex Ferguson days, we had great owners who cared about the club itself. The Glazers are not that. They are using Manchester United as a way to earn money. They don't care about the history of this club and the meaning behind it nor the future of this club. 2nd change: Manager After this season, there's no doubt Rangnick will leave so we need a new manager. If we appoint Pochettino, we are not winning a trophy for another 5-6 years nor will we get a good reform. We will be stuck with players like Harry Maguire. He will still have the capitans armband. The Players' mentality will also be super low. If we go for a manager this summer, Manchester United need to set their eyes on two managers. 1. Thomas Tuchel (current manager of Chelsea FC) Thomas Tuchel is probably my #1 favourite somewhat realistic manager of coming to United. He has great tactics and he's an amazing manager. He defied all odds against city in the champions league last year and he's doing not bad this year as well. 2. Erik Ten Hag (current manager of Ajax) Erik Ten Hag is a really good manager and he comes at my #2 favourite manager of coming to United. This is a more realistic manager to come rather than Tuchel. He has great tactics. Although he lost to Benfica today, he showed that he can play a team that has dominance over the ball and plays decently well. He has had a great season with Ajax as well so far. 3rd change: Players In the summer, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a bunch of new players. Not only players but just like Thogden said, we need the "next big things." If we were to get new players in the summer I would target these positions as first priority. 1st: CB - Maguire is not good enough for a CB at united. Hes really slow and cant mark his players well. He gets turned over too easily from the ball. 2nd: CDM - McTominay is not a CDM and more so a box to box midfielder. Although we do have Matic, he is aging and he can't play back to back games for 90 minutes. 3rd: RW - For right now, Rashford is not playing well. He's not in a good state of mind and we need a new RW whos good on the ball and won't panic in tough situations. 4th: Stirker -Dont get me wrong, Cristiano is a great striker. But with how this season is going, he will leave in the summer. We need a young striker who's good on the ball and can finish clinically. (These are top priority positions for me. I do know that we need a better overall team but we cant by 9-11 good players in the summer as well as a manager) 4th change: Mentality Cristiano put it perfectly in his interview a while back with Sky Sports. As Manchester United, we can't be fighting for a spot in top 4. We need to fight for the title. We need a huge mentality shift in the squad. The players can't be playing for a paycheck but they need to play for the badge and the huge history behind the badge. They need to aim for the title and can't slouch down and hope that they get a spot in top 4 to be in the champions league again. 5th change: SOCIAL MEDIA FC I find this very bothering. Rather than focusing on the development of players, we tend to focus on Social Media. We post pictures captioned "Winning Team" etc. We can't just use social media as our only way of making Manchester United relevant today. We need to focus on how we play and how players develop. 6th change: Capitancy Maguire cannot be capitan. He's not in a good position to be capitan. We need a player with good mentality and who can lead a team to be capitan. These are just some urgent changes we need in this club. There are many more. I hope we pick our heads up from this knockout as a lesson. We can't focus on irrelevant things today. Maybe we should look up to our rivals like Manchester City and Liverpool and understand why they are having huge success at their clubs. Hopefully we go back to being a team that wins trophies consistently. I hate to see this club in this situation. Thank you for reading. :)
