ABOUT THE GOOD PLACE
From creator Michael Schur (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Master of None”) comes a unique comedy about what makes a good person. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, “House of Lies,” “Veronica Mars”), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife, and thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place (which is definitely where she belongs). While hiding in plain sight from Good Place Architect Michael (Ted Danson - “Cheers,” “CSI” - in an Emmy Award-nominated performance), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and earn her spot.

That's just it. They bring out the best in each other. By the time they reached the lake, Eleanor had already become a positive and unselfish person (since she was willing to let her friends go to the party without her), and Chidi knew his place in the universe: He just wanted to be with Eleanor.

Ever notice how Chidi’s first instinct has always been to help Elenor? It’s nearly impossible for him to make a decision when it’s about himself but when it comes to helping Elenor, the answer is always yes for him.

I love the show's thesis about soulmates: that they are not some predestined, specially-chosen person made just for you, but they are someone that you establish a bond with and who helps you become your best self. Soulmates can be _worked towards_ rather than are already predestined. It's a rad, refreshing concept that I wish more stories explored. God, I love me some Cheleanor. 😍

There is just something about their chemistry that is very, how do I describe... like it's not over the top and not necessarily very "it just fits!" either but it's very tender, very sweet, and very harmonious. Like they respect eachother, they value eachother, and they care SO much about eachother. Like two people who really are in love. Kristen and William did an AMAZING job with their characters, I honestly can't imagine any other two actors pulling it off like they did.

@@ALu-nq8rf Well, for me it's the randomness of the show, as well as the sort of mystic/sci-fi aspect that sold me. The scene with the purple space bubble in this episode was the trigger (it made me think "Yep, this is definitely my favorite show"). .... And there's also the fact that I identify myself a lot with Eleanor and her situation (an underachieving smart individual who only cares for himself and with multitude of defense mechanisms that prevents him to make meaningful relationships based of the fact that he questions almost everything that happens to him) so... I wonder, where's my Chidi

When this clip was first posted the episode had only aired on the US East Coast. Anyways, It's not just this channel. Many shows have social media presences (thru writers/actors/etc) and they'll spoil the show during the East Coast airings. I've unsubscribed to things because of this before. I know it's not a world shattering thing in light of the real cr*p happening, but it's still adds a little sadness. Just wish they'd wait at least until the next day.

I love the look on eleanor @1:58 so much processing is going on in here head but the main out is 'i think im in love you'. excellent acting from kristen bell. And i usually dont ship characters, especially when they dont have anything in common but chidi and eleanor really did feel like the missing pieces to each others puzzles.
