the other ball didn’t intervene play, that’s why the ref didn’t stop play, 2 players sandwiching sterling and tripped him up, the laser obvs didn’t do much as he still saved the penalty, he just fumbled it when trying to catch it🤣🤣🤣

As a Dane: England were comfortably the better team. Never a penalty though. Shame on Sterling and the referee. Game should have gone to penalties, I would have deserved to lose there fair and square. Feels empty to go out like this.

How did the ref help England? It was a penalty. If a player makes a tackle anywhere on the pitch and misses the ball then it's a free kick, same applies in the penalty area

Yeah, I honestly didn’t want England or Italy to win the Euros, but here we are with them both in the finals, they both deserve it in ways and don’t in ways, but what I think is important is that we get to watch football now that COVID is slowly easing off.

@@Vizerm I agree, Denmark played strong defence apart from one mistake which obviously led to England’s first goal. But in saying that it is a really difficult play to stop, fair play to Denmark and I’m sad to see them lose, and that penalty really is an annoying way to go out. The ref is on England’s side for sure. Absolute joke of a referee.

Exactly, also we were dominant, if Denmark were dominant and then we got a questionable penalty, then fair enough, but we no doubt deserved to win the game. People just need to look at the stats if they don't believe me!

It's not about who deserves to win, Spain destroyed Italy and lost in penalty cause Italy went all in for make it to penaltys, this was a clear fake penal by sterling

But talking of penalties, yes Italy perhaps played to get to penalties knowing Spain are possibly the worst in the world (for their level). England may not look as flashy as Spain, but we're harder to predict I reckon and we have freedom from EU shackles running through our veins! Careful, this lion bites back and we eat spicy meataballs for breakfast!

I'm 26 and I never thought I'd see England in the final of a major tournament, I mean Italy will be by far our hardest game on Sunday, but to make it to a final of a major tournament is literally the greatest moment of my life. But Kuddos to the Danes for making it to the semis their story this year is an incredible one, to come all this way without Eriksen is a nothing short of a miracle. But on Sunday it'll be an amazing match and the greatest summer of my life if the three lions can secure the trophy at Wembley on Sunday. Come on England.

Because there was contact so technically Sterling was fouled in the Penalty area. Danes fouled England players twice as much as the other way round (21 v 10).

There were at least 3 slightly dubious challenges in the area so it was only justified that at least 1 was given. Denmark didnt deserve to go through, they parked the bus and lived off a 10 minute spell between 20-30 minutes which mostly consisted of defensive mistakes from England
