Great video Jacob, it's very nice of you to put a video out like this to help out the beginner fisherman who wants to be where you are today. You proved this year, that if you set your mind to something, and work as hard as you can, that you can accomplish all your goals in life. I believe with everything in me that this is the beginning of something special in the fishing world. I think you are going to finish your career as the greatest bass fisherman ever. You will break KVD's AOY record. Enjoy the journey Jacob, it's going to be a blast. I can't wait till next year to see you win the AOY again. Also, congratulations to you and your wife on the new addition to the family.

Awesome video i just one my first reel tournament where I figured out a good pattern i feel different like i feel that confidence you nailed it so much, me and my dad met you at the east TN fishing show your exactly right thanks for the videos!

Jacob, I’m 54 years old and I appreciate your story. You video inspired me to reach out to several influential people in my life who invested in me and mentored me. They help me start down a path to help me get where I am today. Although I didn’t peruse a pro fishing career, in which I would have loved, I excelled elsewhere. I fish every chance I get and I will continue to pay it forward, investing and mentoring.

Great video and insight Jacob, there is something special about winning solo. I was able to win the Indy League Cup Championship last Sunday on Lake Shafer. Probably one of my biggest accomplishments in fishing so far as these fields are stacked. You know several of the guys that fish the ILF’s.

After you graduated high school, did you work? How did you balance the work schedule and fishing schedule to afford gas tackle rods etc?

I understand what your talking about. I'm a good angler but I'm on the other end of the spectrum both tournament I fished I caught zero fish in both. One was the Wednesday night tournament and the other was the bbt tournament.

I don’t think it’s just confidence it’s a God given talent the majority of anglers are chasing and will never achieve just look at all circuits including Pro’s the same great anglers are always in the money and winning and yes JW is a natural and was destined to be great even though we may never be great the majority still love the game eager for the next tourney
