Mama CMC your son has been my favorite player since Stanford. I say this is the best mid season trade in NFL history. No doubt we don't go where we are going without CMC. Love CMC even in Carolina. But true die hard niner fan for 57 years

I remember my buddy (who's a Chiefs fan) sent me the notice that CMC was coming to my Niners and he was trying to dog me on how much the Niners gave away for an oft-injured RB. I didn't care about that at all, I was over the moon that we got CMC! He has been the final piece of the puzzle and I'm glad we've got him for at least a few years to come. I would've given away more to bring him to the Bay.

I was in the Cal Stadium when Ed McCaffrey, Christian's father, played wide-receiver for Stanford and they beat the Cal Bears in 1990 in a stunning comeback. Shout out to the McCaffrey's. Also that night, the legendary Dennis Green was the coach, RIP.

The fact that Ed McCaffrey only played 1 season with the Niners is a head scratcher. Why? Because so many Niners fans remember Ed McCaffrey as a Niner.
