Giovanni Trapattoni did it with Juventus: Uefa Cup in 1977 and 1993 (and with Inter in 1991), Cup Winners' Cup in 1984 and European Cup (the modern Champions League) in 1985. And Udo Lattek did it even before: European Cup in 1974 with Bayern Munich, Uefa Cup in 1979 with Borussia Monchengladbach and Cup winners' Cup in 1982 with Barcelona.

Roma are a team not to mess with even if they are struggling in league they are still strong in Europe In last 5 years they’ve made at least the semis in all 3 European competitions

Reaching semis mean nothing if you dont win them. Feyenoord probs the only decent side they faced 😂 this competition is only there for teams that cannot win the other cups.

@@RyxnPlayzz Maybe, but the club has shown a decent level of consistency on the continent, one that in the past 5 years only the very best have matched/exceeded. Factor in Roma's lack of spending power, relative to the likes of PSG, Liverpool, Madrid, City and Bayern, it makes their achievements all the more respectable.

This game broke my heart. Still it was an amazing run and I applaud uefa for this tournament. It lived under all of the fans in this tournament and everyone actually felt like they had a real chance of winning it. Thanks for showing the greatness of this tournament to a wide audience. Every single fanbase in this tournament is amazing and everyone was so welcoming to each other I had the time of my life. Congratulations to Roma for winning your first European trophy and happy that a boy like Karsdorp from our academy was with you for it.

As a Roma fan, that was THE most extraordinary night of my life. In Rome after the game finished, we (my family/friends) went to Piazza del Popolo to celebrate that historical win. I would really love to see AS Roma appreciated all over the world. DAJE ROMA DAJE!!!

Cracking vlog that. Great to see such a wonderful historic club like AS Roma back winning major trophies. Chris Smalldini was immense for AS last night. Roma looks to be a happy club and a great place for young players to be.

I would’ve hoped a Dutch team could be the first conference league winner. I really wanted Feyenoord to win, and I’m an Ajax fan. A hell of a run, Feyenoord. You made it so far. It’s painful to see it end at this stage.

@Keeps Roma supporters had stabbed ordinary supporters in hotels I heard it on the news in 2015 when the fountain was still there so they will get their karma back one day . For the rest a pity that Feyenoord did not win I was already afraid when I saw Roma in the draw especially with José Mourinho, many actors on the field and making a game dead is just difficult to win hopefully another time we have luck .

Roma look to be in good shape. They may not be flush with cash, but with Mourinho, a young and improving squad (that after 1 year, will be more in tune with Mou's style and expectations), a fantastic academy, and now, some silverware behind them, they're more than capable of taking another step or two forward.
