Nick Moon continues to amaze me as a true Renaissance Man: antique Organ restorer, demolition man and floor joist installer, loving father, respectful husband, accomplished horseman and now showing his amazing deftness in horse inoculation. Truely a man of so many talents...helping make the Moon homestead magical in France.

It is so rare to see someone who is so well rounded in his experiences as Nick! Is there anything that he can’t do. I think not! Nick, you are amazing and gifted in nearly every aspect of life and very skilled to boot. Sorry that I didn’t see you riding as well. I expect you were very good at that too. Jennie, you too are amazing and seem to love everything you do. The toy repairer extraordinaire, super Mum, horse whisperer, coach, teacher and gifted teacher and basic kind human. It is wonderful to be a part of your world!

The moon family are all magical in their own way. Mommy and Daddy Moon have answered the call from a higher being to show us what love of animals is all about. Their sharing of that love with all of us is a gift that can inspire us to find our way to our own calling, What ever that may be. I love watching the videos. Thank you for sharing, I know that some day your plan for these beautiful horses around the world will succeed.

Much love from Southern California, USA. I now get tearful at each video. SO LOVELY to see the warmth, caring & skill in your family. I picture myself helping. I am old & disabled, but still dream of my brief time around horses, learned to do all catching horse, loving it up, halter on, walk up to the area for grooming & tacking up. Up on the specially made bareback pad -- thick & right firmness for horse's health & comfort. & special padding to remind legs about the correct position. Learned a little very basic dressage, beginning jumping. Untacked, groomed, walked back to paddock or occasionally stall. Honestly, I enjoyed the interaction with the horse almost more than actually riding. Ironically, I had to stop my lessons when I started full time nursing school, changed from full time to part time employee at the excellent hospital where I worked. Watching the skill that Nick & Jenny have was wonderful. THAT is what I dream of doing. I am now retired (medically, back in 2017). I was a mental health RN for 40 years. I must have given 1000 injections -- all intramuscular. To folks experiencing serious & persistent mental illness. Some incredibly brave people, courage & perseverance to get through each day. Anyway, I often had my patients, who received an injection either every 2 or 4 weeks, express surprise when I put a bandaid on the injection site. "You already gave me my shot? Are you sure?" For horses, it is the TLC, & doing exactly what Nick did. For people, I would introduce a topic of conversation about anything I knew that person liked to talk about. NEVER said, "You're going to feel a sharp scratch." They were all adults, who came in knowingly & willingly for their scheduled injection. No reason to announce anything. Having them roll up a sleeve, or sometimes gently just doing it for them. Cleaning the site with an alcohol swab. They all knew the shot (jab in Britain?) was next. Some meds DO cause discomfort when injected, like flu shots, etc. The meds we have weren't irritating, luckily. Anyway, I am old & the Magic of all the Moons, human & all others, brings me such joy. & Jenny, you are looking quite lean! ❤️ to all.

Loving humans being inside and out for sure, both so talented when it comes to provide great care for your legends ; they are so lucky to be under your care. Poor spoiled horses (teasing). You both take such great care of all your animals. They all get bumps and bruises from time to time and old injuries can be a challenge. My body is reminding me of how much fun I used to have too lol. My right knee has been a proper bother the past week first thing in the morning and I have to tell myself to get up and move it, move around, walk it off. I can just imagine some of the looks you get some days from your Elite Horses lol. They are obviously very grateful afterwards Eperlan looks rather fashionable with his socks on Magical Moons providing sanctuary for Retired Elite Horses. Legacy of Legends is so much more than a memory or a tribute, so very much more!

Sometimes u get 1 thing go wrong then another and another they all well behaved . Well last week my young 5 year old had a sore eye too it was very swollen in the morning so I cleaned it and put a musk on and rang the vet , I also gave him some bute too and yes he had a very small ulcer in his eye it came right very quickly I used the same eye drops as u had . But 2 days of a small amount of bute does help take the swelling down and stops the itching. Wasn't Grace a champion with that injection. ❤❤ If it is very wet under foot some stock on Tar is great to stop any bugs and help keep the wet out . I hope the weather comes right.

I worked with elderly horses that had been schooling horses. Some were off the track. Oh the foot problems! From lower ringbone to just thrush, it was always something. My own adopted boy had been an eventer who went down over a fence and split his hoof into the Corona. His owner didn’t want to be bothered so he came to me. I worked years to get that foot split to heal but we finally got it with our wonderful farrier helping me along the way. He was the most amazing gentleman. I used him to teach grooming and safety to my students. Eventually I had to give him up and he went to be a companion horse to some friends who lost one of their devoted retired boys. I’ve never gotten over having to give him up.
