Tinubu caved in by not allowing total ban of open grazing and killing of farmers and preventing real growth of agriculture. What we can advocate for is to allow the new ministry to come up with compedium of cow owners and their deep throat of sponsorship and where theit weapons are really coming from .In addition , instead of allowing continuous thievery of government money , we need to encourage victims of herders killings to organize and numerically documents those who had been killed , secure good lawyers accross the Nation to sue and demand for compensations from the ministry of livestocks. Livestock development is already within the agric ministry. This wont address the farmer/ herder crisis, which can be tackled by a workable policy backed by laws. Its just going to ballon further, the already high cost of governance. Further, if this is to placate northern pastoralists, southerners in the piggery enterprise, also within the Livestock umbrella, would be taken care off, in the new ministry. This signals the decimation of the agric ministry and rename to ministry of agronomy,😅

Mr Abati should know that I know in any average Restaurant or Mama Put in Southern Nigeria, the most readily available protein is beef (cow meat), not mutton (pork), not dog meat, not even fish. Even in festivities - graduation, marriage, Thanksgiving and even Christmas it's all COW and COW meat. It's apparent that the so much hated COW Breeding benefits Southerners the most.
