I'm wearing my Eagle 7 from the early 80s right now, which is so similar to this one (Never change a winning team). Got it for $35 in almost NOS condition. Just great watches that have much more value for money than Seikos.

Just got a NH8350-59L blue dial - this is as Marc advertised - the best watch out there you can find for this price point. Just an excellent watch, regardless of price. I will also buy the black and white dial versions for collection purposes. Only minor comment is you can consider changing the glass to the new sapphire AR coated ones once you get your hands on one

This is an impressive watch for 120 usd here. I really admire the clean white dial without Roman numerals. For 120 usd you get a reliable dress watch.

tough and very hard decision making if compare with Bambino... but I like Bambinoo because of its round glass and classical style... but if take out the dark blue variant citizen... now this is hard to choose from

Get the Bambino esp the later versions with windable hackable movement. Citizen low end miyota automatics are absolute crap

These are great alternatives to the Hamilton Valiant which is always on my wish list. If the Valiant came in blue, i'd jump on it with a heartbeat.

Funny you should showcase them today. I was just looking at them on your site a few days ago. I am glad you will have some competition to Seiko and Orient. To my eyes, these kill the Bambino on looks.

i have noticed you can't find these through citizen's website. I think maybe they were only marketed in Asia, although, apparently dealers can get them.

I own the NH8350-8A. The white dial with no pattern. Mark says it's a solid link oyster style bracelet, but it's not solid link. It's actually folded links with the folds hidden between the links. From a quick look they seem to look like solid links, but they're not.

Really like the 1st with the off-while waffle dial - too bad it won't hack. That's a must for me - especially with an automatic which will stop when left on the dresser for a couple days.

True, but eventually you'll need to restart it sometime and being able to stop the second hand at the top of the hour and wait til the exact top of the hour strikes to kick-start it is a nice function.

Nice additions to the store. Normally I enjoy a textured dial but I feel this white textured one makes the dial look like cheap plastic. The others look very nice though. I think black is the winner of the group.

What's your opinion on Fossil watches? I just bought a Townsmen automatic ME3107P and I'm loving it, Fossil seems to have some very aesthetically pleasing designs in my opinion.

Hi. I have the same watch 8350-59l. What can you say about the miyota 8200 movement in this watch?? I feel it is extremely noisy. Also I can also assure that hand shaking sometimes stops seconds hand a little bit.

Hi Mark, i got the blue waffle dial, theres a slight issue with the movement, when the secs hand is between 12 and 5 oclock and u shake the watch as to make the rotor wind, the seconds hand will stop briefly until the rotor slows down. Not sure if this is a weakness of the miyota 8200 or just my piece. Saw online another video of a citizen diver with same issue. I dont really get bothered, its just that the watch clearly is not shock proof. Have u noted the same with other watches with miyota 8200s?

I don't understand the black dial with the black hands, it's basically illegible at dusk or in the dark, and it may take a couple seconds to read it correctly in broad daylight.

Check out Seiko 5 SNK series. They should be even cheaper and have a display case back (with rotor and the rest of the movement visible).

I recently bought this watch and it is fantastic. I chose the blue face and I'm glad I did. My only concern is that the bracelet looks smaller than 20 mm. Even at the lugs it measures at 18 yet the description says 20 mm. I want to get a dark brown leather strap but I'm concerned that 20 mm will be too big. Has anyone purchased a strap for this watch? If so, what size? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

the citizen and automatic wordings are painted or applied on the black or white dial? the textured version seems to be applied.

I don't know of any brand that offers sapphire at this price. I don't think it would be economically feasible.

antonio ramirez almost indestructible. Citizen owns Miota they made almost all movements made in Japan you see in other brands.
