Watching these videos I think what we are seeing cleaned away is the physical manifestation of pain, of sorrow and despair. It’s like it fills the home and settles thicker and thicker sticking to every square inch. I think that’s why I feel so good seeing it scoured away. Barbie, you are not scrubbing filth, you are scrubbing away actual sadness.

Great job! For the moldy sealant around the bath/sink, I soak paper towels/toilet paper/cotton wool in bleach and press it onto the sealant. Leave for a few hours and the mold should be gone.

I pour on cheap white vinegar, then Bicarbonate of soda, leave for 10 minutes, and then rub off, works like magic, for sealed joints and grouting.

Absolutely amazing transformation! I was in despair for the floors-but you did it! The thought of someone returning to this after surgeries is extremely concerning. I hope this young woman takes this beautiful gift you have given her and has a good life moving forward.❤ You do incredibly hard work, Barbie, and are a mom, and an editor at a desk also-it is no wonder your back hurts! Do yourself a favor, very seriously, and get help from an occupational therapist or a physical therapist now before it gets worse. You’re so sweet. And what you do is beautiful. With your back issues, a squeegee with a handle would work better. You may already know that, and maybe you don’t use one with a handle for a reason. I really enjoy your videos and I truly feel that this work that you, Midwest Magic Cleaning, Aurikaterina and others do is so incredibly important. I don’t think there can ever be enough folks to help people that are in these situations! And that you are ALL able to earn a living helping others is amazing! I’m an RN that works with a very specific population. I see so many people with mental and physical illnesses that do not qualify for social services, nor do they have the income to hire help. I can only imagine the impact what you do means to these individuals. We never truly know what is going on in other peoples home, minds, lives! I am so grateful that you are so compassionate and are using your skills to benefit those in need. On another note, I’ve never been to New York City (I’m in the Midwest of the US), so I’m always curious as to we’re the trash you remove goes! I assume that most of these apartments have dumpsters, but also assume you might fill them up rather quickly when in particularly bad homes. Just curious as I’m sure it’s very different than where I live or from creators in other areas of the world.

It is great that the owner is working with you. She can really have a sense of pride over the end result. I spent 2 days helping a friend clean, take out trash, and make an epic run to the laundromat to get all of her clothes clean. She worked with me the entire time, which I felt kept me motivated to keep going.

I’d love to know more about the clients when they allow, what they do for a living, if they are alone, how many live there, how long it took for it to get like this, if there were pets… I love when you tell their stories. This video was one of my favorites. Do you ever follow up with any of your past clients? I believe you made an impression on each and every one of them for your hard work, compassion, kindness, and more. Try to take those who criticize you lightly because most critics are unhappy people. I clean an office and I have a box cutter for all the discarded boxes, makes it easier on me. Take care of yourself!

Barbie you are such a hard worker and you do an amazing job. Well done. I think you should talk about how the owners react to your jobs as it is entertaining for your videos. You also should be careful of your back. Instead of bending over, get down on your knees as this will help your back. It is worth mentioning to your viewers that you change your gloves in between toilet jobs and other jobs in the house. You should invest in empty plastic containers as this will help you sort items as you find them. It is also useful when you are disposing of everything in a cupboard as you can sweep the items directly into the box. Invest on a wider scraping tool for bigger jobs with less effort. Finally AMAZING jobs done. You are amazing. I hope these comments help. P.s. please be careful of your health.

I know that this is another tragic case, but what most folks do not understand is, that even if they think that their living spaces are clean or even organized, that leaving cardboard boxes are attraxticw food sources for roaches especially but other insect infestations too, because just the glue in the corrugated boxes can sustain roaches for many years alone!

Wow, that poor lady not being able to bag up all her trash and take her trash out herself and clean. I am commenting as I watch. My mom used to wax her floors and we would use straight Ammonia to take it off. So glad you are using a respirator for cleaning. Oh my gosh, everything just sparkles! You are so amazing!

I just found your channel after hearing Midwest Magic Cleaning recommend you. I love your videos that I've watched so far. A few months back you had a video in which you asked for tips to help with backaches while washing dishes. I have found that when I wear an apron or a towel around my waist, that backache does not develop. I think poor posture from trying to keep your clothes dry and away from the wet sink causes much of the back pain we get from doing dishes. I left a similar comment on the old video. I hope you don't mind my repeating it here. I hope it helps.

Amazing! You must go home exhausted but it is a great feeling when you look back and see the work you did that day. I did cleaning after being made redundant as a bank customer service officer. As I was 61 years old I could not find any work in an office so a friend suggested cleaning other people homes. I did and although I thought my bank job was tiring it was nothing compared to being a cleaner. I lost weight and slept much better on the day I cleaned and I took great pride in the job. Keep up the good work

I just can't wrap my head around someone not discarding trash. You're an angel to help out. The place looks a thousand times better. If only we had floor drains and nozzles in American bathrooms like they do in Europe. It would make cleaning the bathroom so much easier.

These floors good LAWD got some good attention! Sheesh Barbie is still so underrated, there’s at least a million people that are missing out on her cleaning videos but they will find these eventually!

I truly love your kind heart❤. I am glad she helped and also am so glad that she gave you something for your help BECAUSE that was a WHOLE LOT OF TRASH TO TRANSPORT!!

Incredible job. You work so hard. Have you considered using a shovel to pick up the trash while using a large gray Rubbermaid trash can and large black bags ? It might make things easier. I've seen it used for cleaning up hoarder homes.
