Springtime in New Zealands Hauraki Gulf can be nothing short of magic - schools of baitfish invade the Gulf and bring with them pods of Dolphons and Whales. Flocks of Gannets dive bomb from the sky, and schools of predatory fish attack from below - it truly is one of natures great symphonies and gives those who are lucky enough to witness it a rare glimpse into the cycle of life on the Hauraki Gulf. And for the Angler who is fortunate enough to be amongst the action, the Hauraki Gulf Work Up Fishing can be breathtaking.

Glad you enjoyed it! We actually spent more time watching the show than fishing so we only kept enough fish for a feed - very enjoyable though!

I'd be mesmerized just watching the birds and dolphins, much less catching beautiful Snapper..never been able to go out into the ocean on a boat just yet

Saw your car and trailer in the gulf harbour carpark the day you went out to film this. Unfortunately I was off to work catching the ferry into town so couldnt take my boat out that day but it was a beauty of a day and that area out by Little Barrier is pretty special. Great video. Thank you.

Awesome footage guys sitting here in Scotland your making me miss the Gulf and those work ups, will never forget my first work up out by Kawau Island on the slow jigs about 9 years ago i had never witnessed anything like it one of the best days i have ever had on the water and will never forget the action it produced, NZ is a true fisherman's paradise a blessed place, thanks for the upload.
