I played a match in similar conditions once. If I wanted to play to my opponnent's backhand I aimed at tramlines.

The famous "windy final". This match made history. I think it's the windiest match ever in tennis. For them it must have been frustrated but a great tennis player must also overcome things like this, have skills to handle tricky balls like these. It shows the intelligence of the player who can read the wind better than the opponent.

Was there that day and have never seen anything like it. Keep in mind it wasn’t just the wind. A dust storm went over the stadium during the match, getting sand in the players’ eyes. The next year, I myself was playing on an outside court here and I kid you not, I was aiming for the court next to mine because of the wind. Boomerang style. Welcome to Indian Wells.

I've played in conditions like that. It's horrible. So I totally sympathize. Totally understandable to see lots of framed shots and even some total whiffs. I can't believe they played the final of a big tournament like Indian Wells in that wind. It should have been postponed.

When it’s very windy, keep a lower toss of the ball when serving and simply just try to get the ball in play. It can be anyone’s game because of strong winds.

This week i played against a friend and was very windy he actually aced me like that at 7:36 its hilarious ahahahahah i rather play with rain with 100° than windy.... its the worse enemy you can have. You have to be psychologicaly very strong to deal with it, with the mishits the swirls , the bounces. So geat job Vera, we all know how much of a "Crying Baby" she is so she actually dealt with it well ahaha 👏🤡
