Baden-Baden is a spa town in Germany, in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The city lies at an altitude of 189 meters above sea level in the Osbach Valley and lies on the banks of the Oss River on the western slopes of the Baden Black Forest. The population is about 54,000 people. A famous vacation spot. Until 1931, the city was called Baden, but since there were several cities with this name in the German lands, people often said with clarification: “Baden in Baden” (Baden region), and so the new double name Baden-Baden arose. Baden-Baden is known for its hot springs, which were still used by the ancient Romans. The former Roman bathhouse has been preserved in the city.
