In Hawaii they call those little rain storms blessings, just a brief rain to cool you off on hot day, used to live out there in the my early 20s played most courses in Kauai lived in a city called Kapaa, Some of the best times ever out there. I come from a single-parent household so to experience that was a blessing in itself. Paradise is so soothing to the soul love home and I've been to many places but Hawaii is the one place I can see myself going back to live. Miss it all the time. Those chickens and roosters that you see out there were all over the place when I moved out there, every course, parking lot, I mean everywhere, about a month before I arrived they got so much rain that the Dam gave way and ran through a lot of Kauai knocking over tons of chicken coops, farms etc allowing them to roam free. Crazy to still see them out there after all this time. been almost 17 years.

I live on Kauai and play this course often. Unfortunately we had one of our worst weather weeks when the boys were here. Also, Kona winds - wind direction the opposite of the norm.

Kwon has been a huge step for these guys. I like GM cause I'm from KCMO and support all metro people. But Kwon is crazy good. U can see it. And it's almost like he holds back a little just to have fun and make it competitive. When he steps on it.. he is crazy on.

The last time I was on Kauai I was an 11 handicap and didn't break 90 in five rounds at different courses. The wind is SO hard to play there. It just gets in your head after a while. If it wasn't for the amazing views, it would have been the worst week of golf. :) Just looked at tee times. They still sell the Poipu, Makai (Princeville), Ocean course package now $770. Was $300 when I played 30 years ago, and still worth the money. I think Makai is the most beautiful course of them all, but all 3 are absolutely stunning! Fun to watch the boys play.

You guys should look into playing some courses in Canada in the summer, there are many very beautiful golf courses along the rockeys in alberta, there is kananaskis golf and country club, Canmore,and Banff and jasper, you wouldn't be dispointed with any of those courses!
