Kerala is a beach paradise that we never expected! In today's India travel vlog, our friend takes us to one of the most famous beaches in Kerala, Kovalam Beach in Trivandrum! We explore the incredible picturesque beach and get an incredible view from the lighthouse overlooking the entire thing and the bright blue water!
We also start the day off with a delicious south Indian breakfast of Masala Dosa and end the day by visiting a super cool statue that was carved by only one artist. Another awesome and surprising day in Kerala

Mangoes are native to India actually, in malayalam mangoes are called Manga, which i assume is where the English term mango originated from.

Yes actually it was first a portuguese word as the portuguese came here during colonialisation, even our chakka in portuguese is called jakka from which jackfruit came in english

@@TriFateLifestyle oh wow super. Another food is alfaham mandhi it is arab food + you can find Kerala influence in that. Are you planning to visit Malabar region. Palakkad is superb you can see natural beauty there and other Malabar districts like wayanad Kozhikode Malappuram kannur kasergod also good.and gudallur also beautiful it is part of malabar located in nilagiri district tamil nadu State. And in Thrissur district malabar area a place name called kodungallur there is muslim masjid that is the first masjid in indian subcontinent made in prophet Muhammad sa time. And you can see some forts in Malabar main one is palakkad tippu sultan fort another one is in kannur beckal fort. But this time ithink palakkad is good choice especially kollangod village is very popular . And monsoon happening in Kerala now the beauty become next level. All the best for your journey

The story goes like this: Ganga proposed Shiva after Shiva's wife Sati died (she was later reborn as Parvati who Shiva married as well, so technically Shiva's second wife is Parvati not Ganga, and Parvati is the same person as Sati, his first wife reincarnated), but he said he only loves Sati and so he didn't marry Ganga. But he wrapped her around his long hair on his head (i don't exactly remember the exact story, but i believe she went cray after he declined her proposal and would have gushed down on earth with all her might, and so Shiva in a way made a deal with her that she will always stay very close to him and also he controls her mighty flow by wrapping her around his head) and she became the Holy Ganga River that flows down from top of Shiva's head-hair that purifies the humans that take a dip in it. Best place to take a dip in Ganga (the Ganges) probably will be Rishikesh in the state of Uttrakhand. A nice holy city/town with a nice chill vibe, a good place to explore and vlog, definitely recommend. Rishikesh is also where the Beatles went to practice TM (Transcendental Meditation) and to produce more inspiration within for their next album. Also, Shiva is one of three main male gods of the Male Trinity in the Hindu mythological system, and their corresponding wives are the Female Trinity in the Hindu Scriptures.

The Guy gave you wrong information about Ganga.. Ganga Devi is not Lord Shiva's Second wife.. Ganga Devi represents Water and Lord Shiva controlling her to make sure do not overflow on earth (There is a big back story on this topic) And Lord Shiva have only one wife (Parvathi Devi) All the Best...

I work in trivandrum and comparing rest of Kerala. It's nothing. Go to munnar, Alappuzha, Wayanad even Varkala which is near is probably has the best beach here.

What the hell... Goddess Ganga is not wife of Shiva. She is daughter of Lord Vishnu or born from Lord Vishnu's feet, celestial being. Brought into Earth by Bhagirath, the ancestor of Lord Ram. She was married to Shantanu(Avatar of water God Varun), the ancestor of Kuru's(Kauravas and Pandavas) mentioned in in the epic Mahabharata. Her flowing speed was so high so that Lord Shiva keeps her in his long heap of matted hair to control her speed. She is a river goddess, the river Gangga/Ganges.
