Yall need to turn on your brain and think abt the fact that its not an obvious cheater unless you see actual gameplay. Your teammates cant know if he is using an aimbot because they dont get to see a potg or any vod until the game is actually over. Mercy is literally rn the most viable if she is used as a dmg boost for the damage dealers, so naturally its her job anyway to pocket the widow. And its also natural that people scream "cheater" when they go against a good widow so how is the mercy in their team gonna know if its just people whining or actually someone hacking? jeez

Then you see the kill feed and see your widow absolutely destroying everyone... that should be another red flag. At that point, you should catch on that your widow is 100% cheating... it's not rocket science

Yah it was definitely just automatic because the Mei said he was going to report as well and I guess that was just the last straw that broke the camels back. If the cheat is detectable all it takes is one report but if it’s not ... well yah just mass report lol.

he was banned because of stats im assuming. after hitting only headshots on that second map he was auto banned for having an insane headshot to bodyshot ratio. the reason he wasnt banned on dorado was maybe bc he was less blatantly hacking the first round or so

@@dl5200 yup had a guy obviously cheating in qp classic New account barely level 10 and 100% win rate ashe/widow/tracer with only 35 games played. Even a top 500 isn't gonna have 100% with 80% scoped accuracy Logged in the next day to the thanks for reporting message. They were ny only report that day. The system isn't great but it is programmed well enough to know its pretty impossible for even the best players in the world to have 100% in a mode that has no pairing algorithm. I'm guessing around 40 games is its threshold.

Report them when you have proof they are actually cheating sure. But don't report someone because they can click heads better than you. I've seen plenty of gm smurfs get banned because jealous people mass report them as cheaters.

@@jessimeow3095 not true at all. I've played 2 games with 2 different hackers and I had no idea until people sent me clips of kill cams from the other team. You'd like to think it was obvious but the sad and definitely obvious fact of the matter is that it's not obvious. Especially when you're playing a game that requires you to focus nearly all of your attention on the other team.

Agreed. It's not like it was subtle at all, either. And the Mercy especially would see that the Widow was literally facing away from the enemy team so much of the time. Like it's so morally bankrupt and pathetic desperation for stolen SR, crap like this definitely helps perpetuate negative stigmas about Mercy players in general, which is unfortunate. I would have absolutely reported the Mercy for pocketing the aimbot, especially if they were duo'd (and there's kind of a way to check that during a match by trying to invite them to group and seeing if it says "nope" or "nope theyre in a group"). Though the Mercy may have been unaffiliated since that player wasn't in the Busan game, which kind of makes it weirder to opt to pocket a random blatant rage hacker. So either way, scum people.

And most of the time you can give someone the benefit of the doubt that the Mercy doesn’t know the person is cheating but this shit was so blatant LOL. Mercy should have swapped pocketing Widow but chose not to. And yeah there's definitely a reason it's called "ragehacking", it's not remotely subtle to either team but at least the cheater is likely raging or probably has no friends. :D

Most of the cheaters have Korean names because in Korean, there are internet coffeeshops in which they can register an OW account and play there for free, so those people keep cheating without getting any disadvantage of losing the account.

If they aren't queued together they shouldn't be banned. they were randomly stuck with a cheater, that's not their fault. And they arent required to throw the game to make it more fair. Just like when someone leaves on the other team, nobody is required to stay in spawn to make it an even fight. Sometimes you're dealt a bad hand in Overwatch.

No they aren't. There is no rule where you have to throw if you detect a cheater. You report cheaters. It's not the teammates job to help you lose less SR. Especially when cheaters can still be terrible at positioning/gamesense so it isn't an auto win for the cheater.

I never really got into overwatch, but ive regularly ruined a game fr teammates ive had cheating in Apex. firing for no reason to draw attention to us from other squads etc. I even managed to annoy one so much I baited him to cliff edge and dodged as he tried to knock me off before flipping it on him. That was a great day XD

@@yorksrover A lot of people have empathy issues when it comes to online engagements. People were designed to interact face-to-face, and you can read a lot from just a person's eyes, for example. Combine that modern issue with the testing of boundaries that comes with adolescence, and you've got yourself a real asshole. A bully, and sometimes you get a 'sociopath' who really doesn't give a shit about anyone else. Nah, of course that's just a disagreeable person who's socially and emotionally underdeveloped. A disagreeable person will still accept criticism (better in person), but it'll take longer, and you'll have to push some buttons to make that criticism worth much of anything. Most people are fortunate to grow out of it, as when their values are tested while they're young, they tend to find that they'd prefer to leave the people they engage with in a better mood than when they started, especially if it doesn't require much effort to do so.
