In fairness, punishable pokes aren’t that unheard of in NRS games. Especially in MK9.

Slightly disagree as in NRS history, Crystal Tremor could be hit & just say "no it's still my turn you fool shame on you" but Batman for Injustice.

I’d say Sorcerer Quan’s Chi armor spell was even better for punishing on hit as even fast recovering hits wouldn’t stop him mid-string. Albeit the spell could also be used against him if he was combo’d back into it lol.

So I didn't really understand frame data back then or until mk11. So how was his jump kick punishing strings that were -2 and -3? It would seem just the act of jumping would negate any punish at all. Just curious.

In game where you can land 6 frame poke into full 30+ combo literally with allmost any character - it was not broken PS. Poor Scarecrow - can't do that
