The main factor that ultimate weapons might not have a higher number stat wise is because of their unique passives that are not calculated in the DPS stat.

What’s funny was that I picked it early on for bosses because I needed a gun that doesn’t need me to reload every second and it worked quite well

My favorite primary ammo weapon is Eternal Willpower. It's an assault rifle and at level 81 I'm sitting at 94k DPS without any mods. With mods I'm over 150k DPS. I think you should do a review of this monster.

Ngl that weapon op. When I first got it I couldn’t get rid of it because even weapons 10lvls higher had lower dps. And when I finally got a higher dps weapon it was the tamer again lol

Have always thought it was weird that tihs gun has 20k more dps than anything else other than a heavy weapon.

I ended up using tamer as well, it just had way higher dps than my previous weapons at the time and got stuck with it ever since by upgrading the levels at the workshop.

I knew I wasn't the only one who realized that a lot of the ultimate weapons suck in terms of damage and for how hard they are to obtain it's kinda ridiculous that a regular/rare weapon has higher damage than an "ultimate" unique weapon. They need to buff these things.

I would suggest maxing the "Action and Reaction" mod if you havent it gives a massive chunk of DPS.

I haven’t been able to craft multiple copies of Nazeistra’s Devoition yet but if it enhances Devotion Mark Def Shred above the base 10% it could be one of the meta staple guns at least one person runs for the group.

Tamer is what ive been using as well. I love machine guns and this one just has very high dps.

I got this gun yesterday and haven’t used anything else since told my friend this was going to be meta.

Assassin's Edge is a pretty unreal hand cannon. There are a lot of really good rares, actually.

Thunder Cage isn’t a bosser but it’s an excellent everyday use and mob clearer if you boost its special ability

I use thunder cage and it's at 294.7k Dps. The fire rate and fast reload speed make the damage out put higher over all if you adjust it correctly.

I'm using this at endgame with 12% atk roll. Mines currently at 235k dps with most mods maxed. Use Nest's Devotion to debuff the boss's armor before opening up. 15-20second colossus fights solo.

just be warned this will most likely get nerfed hard soon, as nexon will want people running the legendary weapons instead because you purchase the materials to upgrade them from the shop. and making money is more important. no way theyre gonna keep the free weapon the strongest for long

i’ve been using devils call like i did in beta on gley to beat every hard mode boss, also nezstrezias devotion i don’t have gley yet but i’ve solo’d every normal intercept so far need to hit swamp walker (been doing it on bunny as well) just another recommendation for others

yeah the tamer is nuts!!! i managed to get it to 298k DPS so far. had a a 168k Raw drop lv 100 in hard difficulty then i moduled it to 298k. hopefully i can get it higher. gonna go farm more module slot capacity enhancers.

Ultimate weapons need to be enhanced and re-adjusted if you want them to do insane damage! My thunder cage is at 500k dps

I would recommend trying eternal willpower it's a really strong ar I hav mine lvl100 with some mods upgraded on it and it is around 300k dps with decent crit chance

I’m curious how crit is considered in dps. Because I’ve seen quite a few super low crit guns have super high dps compared to other weapons similarly leveled.

I’m hitting 40-80k crits with my assault rifle in boss fights with 4 max mods on it. I’m also using Jayber so extra attack from passive and have cleared up to pyro hard mode. I do wonder tho how this gun would hold up with same mods as my AR.

Ultimate weapons have low dps because in addition to Weapon Level Transmission you have to Readjust secondary attributes to your current level

Just picked up the game. Best suggestion for improving gear, replacing or infusing weapons to higher tiers as I understand it? Replace with higher tier duplicates or higher dmg alternatives like going from hound assault rifle to cygnas or that pistol pea shooter. (Hanguns/cannons seem piss weak to me is that weird? Scout, pulse and assault rifles might not have as efficient a bullet kick as I'm used to in wf or destiny atm right off but the cannons fell off hard on my expectations compared to destiny which feels like was a gold standard for raw dmg and potential power creep as opposed to warframe with its mods potentially making most every weapon at least mid tier, except lato and furis cause damn they weak.)

i dont understand the balancing in this game. there are certain weapons that are straight up better than anything else in their weapon category and even beyond the category. for example, there is a submachine gun that always does more dps than any assault rifle. and the tamer always does more dps than any other machine gun or aussault rifel, let alone hand cannons and scout rifles. theres literally no point in using anything else other than the tamer or that one submachine gun which i dont recall the name of. its so stupid

the gun is broken u can easily get 500k-900k dps with it its hands down best dps in the game outside of snipers rockets and shot guns, down side is that when u ADS it slows u down really bad so its best used on a tanky descendent
