Firstly this piece absolutely is a work of art, plain and simple This is a vid I come back to again and again, just as a painting fan there's so much in it to appreciate For a fan of painting who's own skills and understanding are at a vastly lower tier, the insights to be gained from watching it being painted add so much more depth of understanding of what you're seeing in that final exquisite painting. The choice to ignore mixing on the palette for a real gamut of bottled shades certainly showcased vallejos range options and as a choice is reminiscent of a GW vid. Though ONLY in that one way, especially the use of airbrushed filters to shift those premixes according to the environmental lights instead of by palette mixing is beautifully done. The understanding of colour and paint shown so clearly in the building up of layered colour in the flesh is especially striking and a real masterclass. The use of those very similar red tones is so very very intricate and I love that her skin is so very red with that implied narrative of being gorged and well fed instead of the uninspired default pallid and cold. The sculpt is so beautifully brought to life with the treatment of the face and the lovely NMM that is so beautifully real, without dragging the eye away and breaking the composition - masterful painting with masterful understanding. The sculpt is a wonder, so very good. Still as i look at it the hair texturing is so very crudely finished it artfully goes every which way as an intricate style but coarsely finished and in some areas pretty crudely depicted. That leads to the hair being painted onto it, which is definitely a way to go but the rest is so delicately realised it takes an immense confidence and skill to bring it toward the standard so beautiful in the rest of the sculpt. Separately but ironically right up there too in the focal light and above that face is that skull tiara thing - belongs on a dodgy skeleton knight's breastplate. I'll be back to revel in this vid in a few days, what an absolute priviledge.

Oh. My. Goodness. I can see why Don Suratos hero worships you now, this is just plain beautiful. I loved the array of colors you used, how you balanced dark and light perfectly. The biggest reason I don't paint "sexy" miniatures is that I simply lack the skill at this time to do them justice, and maybe I need to try and break through that barrier on my part to expand my horizons. She's gorgeous, and if Amy Winehouse were undead, this would be close to how I think she'd look. I mean really, she has the hair and the eyeliner, right? Great work, sir!

Sergio! After watching several videos I started implementing the way you mix paint in your airbrush. Add the thinner and then take a paint brush and add the paint after and mix! Perfect! Well I dont get the exact amount I need right off the first try but its easy to add a little more. And now I also dont get that buildup of paint in the tip right at the needle! Thank you!
