Silva was regarded as the best 170 in the world in the early 2000’s when he was outside the utc at one point, goat of 185 and ruled the class for 7 years, and he demolished Forrest with ease when he was 1 fight removed from being the 205 champ and if rankings existed would’ve been the #1 contender, silva being highly accomplished in 3 divisions puts him a top 4. His 185 run alone would too.

Funny how people think izzy annihilates dricus. Izzy knocked out Wobblert Chinnaker who does the chicken dance every time someone lands a significant strike and people think that performance alone means that he easily counters dricus on the blitz Yet izzys left hook counter was nowhere to be found vs yoel or whittaker the 2nd time. Dricus has way more power, cardio, and offensive wrestling than either of them with a GNP threat. I think Ankoliev is misunderstood. I think he has great wrestling, Alexes upright stance makes him susceptible to getting taken down, but Ankoliev is completely ret*rded. Jon Jones didn’t strike with Gane because he knew Gane would smoke him on the feet, Ankoliev had to get to nearly loosing to a TKO to find out that he’s the best wrestler in the top 10.

ankalaev is mainly a striker, he’s usually only uses his wrestling as a last resort, like when he’s down 3 rounds to jan blachowicz and he’s wobbling around due to low kicks, i think magomed tries striking with pereira round 1 and learns the hard way

@@nutsackmma I still believe Ankoliev won round 1 but the point still stands, idk why Ankoliev is mainly a striker when he’s a good wrestler, that’s just bad fight IQ and you saw when he was doing great in the grappling and wrestling exchanges. If Magomed stands with Alex, I see a round 1 KO as well. Ankoliev does tend to drop his lead hand in big moments like a step back, step forward or a stance switch. Alex left hook is there for the KO. Ankolievs also seems a bit lazy with his lead foot placement where it’s easy to hit and for probably the best calf kicker in UFC, that’s a heavy problem.

How does Ilia have more accuracy then Justin? Justin has a higher significant strikes landed per minute and a higher strike accuracy both of which are across more fights than Ilia. There’s no stats or evidence to make the claim Ilia is more accurate with striking.

Saying Volk is above Silva all time has to be the most blasphemous take I’ve ever heard. You clearly never watched Anderson in his prime. 16-0 in the UFC with 10 consecutive title defenses while moving up to LW and beating contenders there at the same time. It ain’t just about resume. It’s also Aura and history. Anderson has the best KO and best submission on history under his belt with the KO over Vitor and the submission on Chael. Saying Volk over him is insanity. Volks prime lasted about 2 years. Sure he beat some great fighters but he clearly lost the second fight to Max during his prime run and lots of other wins are overrated as fuck. He beat the corpse of KZ and Darren Elkins(bum) and he beat a washed Mendes and an inactive Brian Ortega who’s not even a former champion or that great to begin with. tbf people say ddp vs Strickland was a robbery beacuase it just was... r3 wasnt a DDP round and its just ao hard to argue in favour of ddp for that round. even r2 could be seans based on impact but I scored r2 to ddp as the difference wasnt as obvious as it was in r3

End r3 sean shut ddps right eye and swelled his forehead, he also went 29-13 on headstrikes… r2 ddp cut sean if I remember right and sean swelled ddps left eye. They also were neck and neck on numbers. Impact wise sean did both more immediate and cumulative damage in r3. He wins r3. R2 sean did more cumulative but ddp arguably did more immediate damage with the cut which puts it in his favour as immediate impact is favoured over cumulative. R4 was ddp for definite. R1 and 5 were clear sean rounds. 2 is a toss up but r3 just isnt really hard to score, it was a sean round and the only way you could score for ddp is if you were watching live… a rewatch makes it clear sean took the round

Good video, but simplifying down gaethje to a hook dude with grunts is very wrong. He became an elite counter striker in the latter half of his career. Max schooled him due to his greater speed which gaethje could not stop. Illia is also a great counterstriker (against Josh emmet which isn’t that hard) but I also think max is faster than Illia. I think Illia Vs max is probably more 65-35 max due to the speed advantage

Saying Aspinall definitely beats Jon is delusional. Its debatable ofc, Tom is young, strong, fast and has good KO power but we should not discredit Jones. You know he has the experience, the fight IQ and the most unorthodox fighting style which catches many by surprise. It's still a though fight but saying Jon meatriders are bad whithout mentioning the Tom NPC's is wild. Tbh all the Dj “glaze” is pretty casual. Almost all his wins are unbelievably bad (his cejudo win isn’t even aging well), he lost quite a lot, and most importantly: he was the first champ of a new devision, which allows him to stack title wins (since he didn’t have to fight much for the belt) and there were very few people in it since no one was training as a flyweight.
