They are apparently adding killer Croc as well as king shark to play along side bane in the new roster so hopefully they have good safe moves Instead of the unsafe poor range moves that are always given to grappler in NRS games

I think the biggest thing that made Starfire so cheap is that her basic toolkit was so strong she was very much "a pick up and play" character, where even the most novice players could pull off some fairly strong zoning just with normals. In a game where high level play for many characters required a fairly high degree of mastery of things like trait usage, that definitely upended the overall balance. She was a cool and fun character though.

What really makes her cheap, for me, to use is not just her moveset (which is already OP) but, how easy it is to use. No real skilled execution, reflexes, or tight timing is required.

Starfire is exactly why I didn't get why people were hyped about NRS' rumored Marvel game. Like, you REALLY want a fighting game with Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and Captain America in it? And you think NRS wouldn't give them zoning options that pretty much force you to play them as zoners? Part of why I dropped Injustice 2 so early is that it's so heavily zoner oriented.
