That was a great interview with Will. I really enjoyed it. It was great that you let him rip about the history of boots and the reasons why he got into the business - it just showed his commitment and authenticity so well. Next time I am in Austin, I'm gonna go visit!

Great interview. I have 2 pairs of Chisos boots and they are great. Definitely blend the old school construction with a very comfortable insole.

Own the #1s, #2s, had a pair of the #5s, and have the #6s in rough out. Can say these are some of the best boots on the market. What Will and his team are doing is second to none. The small business and connections are everything. I also own 12 pairs of Tecovas, Rujos, and Cuervos all Great boots but there is not the same connection. Mass production is fine but the craftsmanship of chisos is second to none.. When you have a problem Will fixes it. simple as that. The service is worth the price alone.

Recently purchased the Chisos No.2 for my birthday. Damn! Super comfy and very durable of a feel. Thick leather and a heavy boot (in a good way). True to size if you’re gonna use the insole. The removable insole is comfy and not super squishy. I’m able to wear these for 7-10hrs whenever I wear them. Their square toe version is more subtle and somewhat narrow which I like. They have a dressy look to them but I’m sure can take a beating. Very pleased with this purchase. Wifey couldn’t get upset cuz it was a birthday gift to myself lol

I like the Double H roppers in square toes with the rubber goodyear ICE sole, this is a traditional stitched sole and not the ugly glued on ones. I get the extra wide to fit my feet and use a thick ariat ats insoles to get a snuge soft fit, will need to see if a heal shim is needed this round. My last pair had gone 5 years before getting into bad shape with dilly use, so on to the next pair. Did use redwing boot paste on them and unsure if was the best choice. That did make them a dark brown where engine oil stains could not be seen. The confort, fit and life that comes with them makes the cost worth it. Them chisos ones cost more and could be better, but dont look to spend that much.

I wish more people would wear cowboy boots. They’re so comfortable. People get this notion that they’re not comfortable either because they don’t fit properly or they only wear them once in a blue moon and never break them in. I notice more women tend to say that boots aren’t comfortable, but I also notice that they buy boots on Amazon and they’re a no name brand.
