When you use the two action version of heal to harm undead you do not add the extra 8 per spell rank to the damage it is only the dice roll. The extra is only when healing a living creature.

About the detecting hazards. Detect magic does not work because a common cantrip would nullify any relevant haunt or trap. However detect magic does detect lower-rank illusions. Detect magic is useful as an exploration activity to find Items, weird phenomena, or non-intentional magic hazards. More relevant here is that I don't recall anyone using Seach activity (the one that actually would detect traps). If they use it, they always become alerted of the hazard when they are already in the middle of it, making the success useless.

"When characters approach a hazard, they have a chance of finding the trigger area or mechanism before triggering the hazard." (GM Core p 98) Some hazards have a description of what the PC notices if they successfully detect it. If not, the GM can flavor it based on the hazard. Haunts are just a type of hazard.

Now that Demiplane isn't a sponsor anymore, and the current version of pf2e for foundry V12 has manual rolls built in. Would be nice to see them make use of that so they can roll their Norse Foundry dice and then let Foundry VTT take care of the math and to help them all keep track of the little things like resist, buffs, debuffs and so forth so the group can focus on the story

Great work on this combat. Everyone on top of their game and even with Troy rolling like a boss, still wasn't match for you guys. Zephyr really could leave the way of the Monastic Archer behind and embrace a melee Stance for better benefits and high damage (if she chooses a d8 stance like Tiger or Wolf).

I have a couple of comments. First off I want to say it's always good to see you. How did Skid not get a bottle cap for that Zinger! This party is HEEDLESS. Danger at every turn.... lets go! My buddies and I use to say, "Hey diddle diddle straight up the middle!" That gets you a lot of Gakked. Why don't you be more careful and guarded. Pull back into the haunt room and get some space for you while bottling up your enemies. Rules Comment: Even in 1st edition Magical Traps don't detect as magic, you have to be able to use perception to find them and then disable them with Trapfinding class feature. I would assume it works the same in 2nd edition, you need a skill to detect hidden things that are magically concealed or haunts. Joe tell Troy to fudge the damzoni. Great show looking forward to the next and I hope your America Day celebrations were joyous.

FYI Joe, 2 action Heal doesn't add the extra +8 when you use it to damage Undead.

afaik you dont get to add any bonus dmg in the remaster so the ignition would only deal 3d12, not 3d12+6 unless im missing something

Should have been +4 ( not 6 ) but otherwise it's right. Psychics when unleashed get a status bonus to damaging spells equal to X2 the spell level to spells without a duration ( not your class level which I'm guessing is where the +6 came from)

Been holding on to a super heady nug of runtz my friend grew. He gave me this past weekend as an early birthday gift. First I was going to save it for Phish at Mansfield great woods next weekend. But I can't think of a better use for it than watching the glass cannon do some epic TTRPG! Hell yeah! Lol No one and I mean no one Does it better than the GCP.

So in a recent rolling stones article Trey explained why Phish is so popular. It's because of their friendship they are genuinely best friends. That best friend energy spills off the stage into the crowd. I feel the same energy coming from you all. Because of that I know the GCP will become a media empire. I'm also with Kate no raw fish for me. I'm not big on sushi. I'll eat maki but I'm not really a sushi fan. I like BBQ, . 😃 Steak, pork, chicken, other...... Lol. But not big on sushi. Go for Brazilian BBQ and I'm all over that.

1. I would much rather an ice cream shop turn into a fish place than a fish place turn into an ice cream shop. 2. Sydney, PLEASE stop running off to be a "lol I'm random XD" player, at least in this edition. It literally is described by your group as an edition MECHANICALLY CRAFTED to make people go down and die EVERY ENCOUNTER multiple times (which you guys apparently like??????), especially with Troy's rolls, so please stop running off to do things you think are cute in extremely untamed or hostile areas. You are a bloodrager in your other game so it excuses your decisions mostly there, but it still happens. 3. Joe, you bring up a point I like. A spell or ability that gives a weapon different damage types would be cool, so you can ultra focus on one weapon style. As far as action Economy min-maxing/using spells to just do straight damage instead of preparing for a possible attack, it's terrible, but that's also the argument for other spells. You asking the clearly slashing-focused katana-wielding kitsune 'Minkaian build' character if they have bludgeoning is also ridiculous. On the note of the theme, I doubt she has anything linking her to Minkai, perhaps not even spending the selection slot needed for the language of Minkaian, or the 'common' of the continent it's on, Tian, versus the 'common' of Avistan, Taldane.

Ease off on the backseat driving - they're not asking us for advice on how to play, or for cliffnotes on their performances. At best you're shouting into the void, at worst you're putting somebody down with this condescension. I made a comment in a similar vein towards Troy at the snail fight episode, and in hindsight it was in poor taste. These folks can drive their own car however they'd like - we're just along for the ride, for as long as we'd like. And boy howdy, it's a blast!

I guess my rebuttal to point two is, should Sydney choose to not try to have fun or do interesting things anymore because the game is mechanically crafted to take a PC down every fight? Is it Syd's fault the game punishes interesting play, or is that the game's fault, fundamentally?

@gerard7330 I think that is exactly what they are doing as public performers when they allow comments on their content, as well as having a separate show that points out criticisms, recaps of events, and rule discussions. Look, it's natural to have reactions when consuming media where you go "doh! They should not have done that!/if it were me I'd try this". When you listen to people playing adventure paths or campaigns that take years to play (with WEEKLY sessions) that you yourself don't get to even get the luxury of time to think about most weeks, there are going to be words and comments accumulated that need to be said due to the desire to have games like this. Some don't, some do, some go to other forums for it. I choose to point things out, and whether they choose to acknowledge and take any of what I say to heart, that's also their choice, or I should say, their community manager's and Joe's, or whatever.

@matthewsteinmetz729 I think it's not a big stretch to ask to reign it in some, in a similar fashion that most other table groups would ask a player who runs off ahead in a dungeon to open doors before the rest of the group is ready or do not touch the thingTM when there is clearly something special about it because of it's location. I know it's comedic to viewership when the party groans and gasps when a trap or encounter is set off, and the player in question, mouth agape, says "please help me" while dying and the equivalent of "oops", but then you notice them begrudgingly dealing with the situation as best they can because they were not given a choice to be in that situation, which a lot of people don't appreciate at actual tables from the thousands of accounts posted in forums or videos. I understand it's a job, that they don't actually care, and it's mostly to ham it up for footage, but when it becomes a trend it becomes a problem for gameplay. Making a plea for restraint in an effort to save the group from dropping the campaign entirely (which has been discussed by Joe and Troy previously, jokingly; I don't see Troy dropping this campaign, he has invested too much money into it, even back when he said it would be a custom written campaign) is not a terribly big ask.
