It is absolutely amazing that they can pre-cut and design all these angles and logs to fit together like they do that everything is like it was taken apart at one time and they're putting it back together it's amazing

I wish those carpenters doing the timber framing safety on their next job. Construction is fun to watch and do till you get hurt. On my 2.5 years helping remodel my Son's house, I stepped on a nail, and broke my rib falling off a scaffold. Those guys if they fell would for sure be seriously hurt. I pray and wish them safety as I wish the same safety on my next job. Safety first!!!!!!!!!!

I love the pre=assembed pre cut timber framing. I want to do some of this kind of work on my backyard. I will be doing by myself only. I spent 2.5 year remodeling my Son's home in Los Angeles and remodeled a 1908 house back to historical look and a 1980 house on the same lot. Building inspector signed my final with 10 last inspection before my final. He ask how I was able to do such an amazing job. I said KZfaq and then he said you were the talk of the Los Angeles Building Inspection dept. I have to say it wasn't easy. The anchor bolting of the house, the shear wall, digging for a load bearing beam, doing all the electrical, all the plumbing, all the Hardie bd siding, all the shear wall struct one plywood for earthquake compliance, all the dry wall work, installing all the drywall, the tile to 3 bathroom that were rated better than 9 out of 10 using 1/4 round tiles with all grout lines to perfect spacing. The Sliding shower door molding was flush to the wall tile and the floor tile was so perfect a 3 foot level show zero space cause we use those special spacer. The floor tile was 1 foot x 2 foot so requires much skills. All the window on the 1908 house had to have the same look as it did in the 1908. I took 2x6 redwood and made all the molding ripping on a table saw. The expense of the molding was way too expensive. I saved a fortune by cutting all my molding from rough lumber from Home Depot. My son and I selected the best redwood lumber with no knots and that was the trick. I am ready to do some timber framing. Looks easy but I won't be able to do those carvings. So beautiful and that is where I stop. Don't cut your self short, go to KZfaq for advice and learn to do it yourself. You can do it. The inspector that signed or last 10 permits walked away completely surprised. It was worth a $1,000.00 to watch him leave my project like some kind of magic trick Also I had to get a Lead License to remove the Lead contaminated wood and tile. The one day class cost me $350.00 approved by OSHA and a written test. To all those removing lead contaminated windows without a License is expensive if a neighbor calls OSHA. It's $17,500.00 / Window infraction. So get a license or hire a person with a license.

Are those all OSHA approved steel toed flip flops and hard hats? Gravity must take a few lives a year at this sweat camp?
