Endgame Thor is up there. All the big 3 figures from Endgame are fire but Thor, his weak ankles and poor articulation makes him very disappointing.

I def feel the doc brown and Ahsoka figures! Got the one sixth kit doc brown head sculpt and he’s beautiful now. Also broke my Ahsoka arm when I barely tried to move it😢

Never been more disgusted to be part of a collecting community than when "collectors" directly attacked sculptor for the Tony headsculpt. It's a toy at the end of the day.

For sure armorer and same issue with bo katan. Overall the figures look great and I'm happy to have them, but the lack of articulation is a disappointment. Double jointed should be standard for any hot toy released now.

Definitely agree. I’ve owned all the Star Wars ones mentioned and sold them within a few weeks. Add Bo Katan to that for the poor headsculpt and single-jointed elbows

I disagree with putting Caution Tape Harley Quinn on the list. Besides the exposed joints, which is subjective whether or not it bothers a collector or not (and other figures have had them like Shang-Chi), it was clearly made accurately to the source material and the portrait likeness is very close as well. There's plenty of accessories and swap out options, and HT clearly put effort into this figure. However, that Batman Begins figure is objectively bad, and it's clear that HT half-assed that release and it should've been on this list instead of Harley.

First world problems. 😂 I would argue Prison Harley has a much worse likeness than Caution Tape Harley. The Caution Tape and Stripper Pole Harley have a lot of personality and pop in the collection. As you mentioned, the downside are the visible joints but it can be posed creatively to minimize.

My opinion you forgot to add cyborg on there. He looks good but with out batteries you can’t see through red in his eye and chest so he looks dead

Hoping that they capitalise on the SW 50th Anniversary and do 2.0s of the core figures, including Chewie. Not hopeful given how they could have gone to town with both Empire and Jedi 40th anniversaries (and prequel 20ths), but 🤞. Also, more droids and creatures dammit! Thout Howard Chan was a SW fan!!

I can’t really argue with your choices. The Armorer has screws in her feet and I don’t know why a figure that costs over $200 has visible screws anywhere, but I did get her when she was heavily discounted because I like the character. I still plan on a body swap. I finally got around to opening Ahsoka and they announced the new one 😂. I would also like to submit the Hot Toys Batman Begins figure. For reasons no one but HT seems to know, they do not care about this version of the Bale Batman. Even though they will make blue and gray versions of the dark knight suit that nobody asked for. The sculpt is terribly inaccurate and it doesn’t seem to bother them. Thank goodness for third parties that make accurate sculpts. Even though we shouldn’t have to go that route. Such a head scratcher.

At this point Hot Toys is practically just milking the fans. They release figures one after another to catch up with movie releases and then re-release them later on with better sculpts, body proportions and materials just so people will buy them again. Remember how it took them 6 tries before finally nailing Gal Gadot likeness? I do because I skipped all the 6 crap-filled baits and only bought the WB100 exclusive. Even now I'm waiting patiently for Inart to do their version of WW because I suspect it will blow Hot Toys version to Kingdom come. Speaking of Inart, thank goodness we have them and JND x Kojun to fill in the gaps and the return to the essence of 1/6 collecting: best-likeness head sculpts with outstanding clothing and gears, all in one go. Expensive? Sure, but at least I know I'm buying quality products and can rest easy it won't be replaced with better versions in the near future.

I know Will made all the disclaimers already but i just wanted to say caution-tape harley is one of my top figures! Despite the visible joints, the proportions on the figure are spot on, and strongly gives me that shrunken human impression. Also I think the sculpture is miles bettee than the other birds of prey harley figure

Plus the eyes on the Amazing Spider-Man are not white like in the movie and so many are replacing them so once again they missed the mark.

The Amazing Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) IMO is proportioned right, it’s the 1st release that’s not even close, this one does lack accessories, but it’s a massive improvement on the original version. I don’t understand how currently there can be a so called bad head sculpt, because there is no sculpting anymore , it’s all laser scanned and 3D printed. Recently Sideshow was showing Clint Eastwood how his likeness was created. Now there’s probably as you guessed it, 3D printers that are better than others , hence the price tag. Nobody sculpts anymore, laser scanning figures has been in existence since 2000. If they do they won’t be in business for long😢

Basically any Hot Toys with joint issues, I'm disappointed in. The female Mandalorians, Nebula, Bucky for not having double jointed elbows. Electro for visible joints (even though I'll give it a pass for the arm bands covering them). Oh, and Jango. I don't really know how to describe it but it doesn't really have awesome shelf presence. I had to add the poncho and make it look like he was walking through a windy tunnel to make it more appealing to the eye lol

I own the Asoka DX. She’s cool but it was very hard to get her eyes right and her pose to look natural and now that I watch this I believe it was because the head sculpt is indeed a bit off… oh and her arms fall off too! Ha wtf…

The Armorer is one of my least favorite HT figs. It seems like a rushed product and the body has always felt a little delicate to me. And the Purge Trooper was very meh in my opinion.

Couldn't agree with you more about Chewbacca. He does look like some one's family dog. Couldn't disagree with you more about the Purge Trooper. I've always hated the beehive (regardless of whether or not it was that way in the game) and the new design looked menacing. The figure quality itself is very much on par with every other trooper.

Andrew was such a let down for me in 2023 I remember that was the first time I was ever disappointed with a hot toys😢

Amazing Spiderman 2 is without a doubt my most disappointing. It sucked back in 2014 and it still sucks with the re release in 2023

My most disappointing Hot Toys figure is the 1/4 Heath Ledger Joker. Almost everything about it, the seaweed dollop of hair, angular, pointy shape of the face, facial features, two identical sculpts with the special edition, bland expression, flat paint apps, physique, tailoring, Thumper sized feet, and crappy base ..... it was terrible imo. Given the iconic character and enduring popularity of Heath's performance, it being being - at the time of release - TDK's 10th anniverasary, the 1/4 scale and the many years between the release of the DX11 and the 1/4, I thought Hot Toys would go all out. I was anticipating so much more. Second place goes to last years Batman Begins Batman, there are so many inaccuracies with the figure (DeanKnight did a fine job in highlighting them).

Good list, I would say that I agree more or less with all of them. The only figure I have from all those is the Doc Brown, but I already knew it was going to have the same headscult, so it was at no surprise. Bad headsculpt anyway, but not a dissapointment for me cause I expected what I got. If I would have to name a figure that was a dissapointment to me, I would say the Incinerator Trooper, it looked awesome on pictures for me but on hand was a meh.

Agree with most of the picks. Not really into MCU more of a SW guy. The Armorer it's not great nor terrible, agree with the joints but its the only one available so had to buy it to finish the Mando line. Also, I literally was on the verge to buy Mando Ahsoka and decided to wait for a day to make my budget and next day, HT announced the Ahsoka from her series. So glad I've ordered the new one. Hope it's quality is improved. But oh my god that Ant Man and poor Chewi, I laughed my a** off, I never knew they came up so terrible... 😂

Me, I hate that hot toys don't finish lines like wakanda forever. We get a new black panther, no bad guy, namor, and they give us these big Iron Man suits and modok but can't give us vulture or the amazing spider-man 2 rhino.. they made figures from the ps5 game, but no kraven or prowler or scorpion from the last games.. and eternals like what..
