I love how comic artists dream up the impossible. Like welding things that aren't even metal. It's almost as if the artist doesn't know what welding is.

The thing to consider is how a curse is bad and if it is as horrible as you might think. With the dog welder that curse is horrible I don't deny that but it also has a few special features. First the initial victim becomes an amazing welding genius. Second the secondary victims can't be evil anymore it actually prevents them from causing additional harm. They all survive the encounter while most other heroes and super heroes have killed their target from time to time the dog welded never killed anyone and can't. Lastly the dog welder doesn't need to have killed the animal and the act will sometimes revive the human and dog if they had died.
