Because he's always been an incredible player with extremely high highs but very low lows, so when he's in a low (like he has been for the last couple of years) its easy to overlook all the incredible things he did, especially at OKC. Compare that to someone like Timmy who was literally just a constant threat for his entire career, and its easy to see why people pick on the 'peaky' players.

Being on the Lakers 'killed' his confidence. Lakers fans can be extremely toxic to their own players. AD went from the best big in the game to completely washed and deserving to be traded. We've seen people saying to possibly trade Lebron... like... wow. Lakers fan need to do better, man.

But, that same mentality is what is why he's not liked, he has made such stupid decisions and has taken so many stupid shots in clutch which has eroded his superstar reputation and he's to be blamed for that, ngl.

he had a good amount of low lights on the lakers, and he and carmelo were hyped up by the media when they got traded to LA, but it rly wasnt his fault tbh, he’s usually a 1st-2nd option on his team and he had to settle for 3rd, but he’s also used to being the voice of the team and since he couldnt manage that(lebron) his confidence and morale boost he’s used to he just couldnt play the same

@@lamchunting856I wouldn’t call it stealing. That was just the way they ran the offense. Let Russ get the board and have him run in transition to create opportunities for everyone. At his core Russ is a ball dominant playmaker and OKC just let him run full throttle.
