In spring, there are incredible days where you have to choose between speedriding, paragliding or skiing... Therefore with Antoine Boisselier & Nicolas Plain, we decided to put everything together in one afternoon: this is called COMBO, the heliski that respects the environment!
We take-off from Saint-Hilaire, France (1000m), skis on foot and speedriding wing in the back. With the spring conditions, we are at the top of the Dent de Crolles (2000m) within 30mn. This the D-day to try this adventure!
We glide towards Granier to climb up to 2800m before leaving towards Belledonne. Then we go back to Les 7laux and gain altitude to reach our landing place: the wild summit of Grand Replomb.
We fold our gliders to take out our speedriding wings, and we do a huge run in the wild mountains atmosphere. Beautiful but delicate speedriding run, a little leeward with an overloaded 10kg backpack!
Then we take-off on paragliding from the bottom of the mountain (800m below), and 10 min later we are back to the top! This time we pack our gliders and we ski down the south-west face with *** spring snow conditions!
We then take-off for the 3rd time, at 5:30 pm. We take a thermal that brings us again to 2800m at 18h for an incredible sunset over Belledonne. Back home after a long transition over the valley of Grésivaudan and top landing in St-Hilaire du Touvet.
