Absolutely excellent review. Coming from an owner of a pre-FL RS3, I can completely corroborate what you say about the handling. Worlds apart! Would like to see you review a TTRS for a further comparison, apparently it’s yet again on another level! Also, small factors like recognising the difference in steering wheel alcantara make this review all the more professional and trustworthy, great job

The RS cars are like half rally cars too, Where the others would have trouble keeping up along a gravel, mud and rain road etc, at speed, in the winter! The others aren't even an option :)

Great review and I think it’s defo topped me over the edge and I’m gonna get one. I have an mrc tunes s3 saloon and was waiting to see if there was a big difference as I’m already putting 400ps down at the moment but I will always get envious if an RS3 rolls up beside me. Gonna wait till after Xmas and get myself a nice little present minus ceramic brakes. Great channel, nice just to see honest reviews with the right combination of chat/info and driving.

You should mod the S3 man. Go JB4 so that you can take it off when the car needs warranty work. Simple add ons like a cold air intake, intake pipe, turbo inlet, muffler delete etc. Stuff that can be taken off easily and quickly

The face-lift rs3 has a less obnoxious sound, you could drive this round some villages but the old one was an asbo on wheels,

It's sad to know the new RS3 don't crackle on downshifts anymore. I would most likely go for the predecessor just for that. Anyway good review my brother. They all bang like always. 👌🏻

Crackle is there, it's just hindered by the resonator. Take that out and they crackle just as good as the last.

Thanks mate, yeah just tried to cover as much of the queries about the facelift as I could. In terms of mag ride, the RS3's Ive driven all had it so haven't got anything to compare it to. Closest I've got is my S3 which is passive but then that really isn't a patch on the RS's suspension. Personally I reckon if you're going to go for a RS3 you might as well have it.

Haha I am working at shell and I have also seen the RS3 yesterday. It's owner was like 25 Years old and he also has not used the V-Power Patrol 😒. I would only use V-Power for cars like this..😌
