WW sin is about mixing dmg and utility. Attack rating is most important here, makes this claws actually useful in PVP, you got dmg from open wounds and venom, in other case you miss a lot, pure dmg is just add. 2 open sockets are prob best option but +2 all skill is also powerful. Best fools claws ever found in d2c was actually smt like 2assa/40ias/290ed+/fools/3ls/2venom/eth rep. Anyway these are insane and prob we wont see better for some time. Thanks @Cooley for your vids and getting me more ready for big comeback to game after years.

Been using this tactic lately. Max dragon flight shadow venom and mind blast. Claws are malice/plague. Telly around dragon flight one time for open wounds proc then just telly an spam mind blast reproc open wounds as needed. Vs casters u only usually need to do this about 3 times. Doesn't matter if they are max block or not maxed flight gives huge DMG an AR. An ur shadow is an absolute beast when maxed. Also this build I do uses 102 fcr.

Its a big PITA but I found out today on my sorc that you can max telekenesis and energy shield, cast it, then respec to your normal build and you have maxxed out ES until it runs out. It would be an expensive duel for the lulz for sure.

Just use Nats set with a chaos claw , works really well with massive damage reduction. Strings belt and I have +2 gloves with cold res and +2 amu

I've pretty much picked up every claw that can spawn skills in my 20 some years of D2 and best I ever found was a +5 ls greater talon.

And this got even stronger 😊

I figured they make facets/grif work for trapes wen they patched the sundering charms so it applies to pets. Love the skill tree work. Cant w8 to try this with a blade shield claws.. not gg but should be fun

Yep.. some great claw out there probably get skipped on.. a +6 shadow master claw is money, Add on another 2 key buff skills and its gold.

I have a question: Why does the assassin needs faster cast rate? I thought the speed of casting traps is depending on the atack speed?

Intriguing, I actually think the Wake of fire version of this would be even better in pvp if WOF works the same in D2R it's much easier to stun lock opponents. In 4v4 clan duels back in 1.10 no1 could do anything w/ my MB fire trapper, WW barb w/ Zerk would get on top & & make quick work. Other 2 would usually be a Blizz Sorce & Bone Necro

Never played a trap assassin for a good reason as they are no fun! I prefer combat dragonclaw assassins with phoenix strike as my main attack modifier it might be not the most powerful build but hey I love it and there is nothing in the game that can't be killed with it. I generally do not like this one sided approach of builds and right now I have also a great experience with a mix build for a Frostbow/Javazon which I made after finding titans by luck with my lawbringer paladin. So lots of fun builds over the meta playstyles.

even with high end gear a trap/ww sin is low phy damage / low elemental damage (non pvp damage) but it does have very high poison damage but this can be countered because its a low damage high stun build. if you have a smiter with stacked res / tgods / whisp / fade / drink an antidote potion and have max block this build wont scratch a well made smiter or hdin so long as your faster hit recover break point is met. because the physical damage radius is 2 yards from the claws and barbs with zerks have 3 yards its easy for them to completely counter this build with only range. hybrid sins can be hard because its a defensive build but when you understand how to play them you understand how to counter them and its not hard. if you wanted to play defensive vs defensive builds a bone nec / windy druid are ideal to give any hybrid sin a real headache for a match up but vs smiters its no contest what build would win to the point its just unfair for the sin player. when d2r came out people played it less for the game play and more to trade items because everyone knew the trade bubble was going to pop soon. now the realms are a ghost town also d2 non ladder (east/west) has much higher quality items then any seen even the caster craft amulet.

What a great video! After playing original D2 LOD at launch (I got a freebie act1 quest1 playthrough on a magazine disc! Shame I could only be a barb, but hey, it worked!) I started back on D2 LOD about a year before resurrected came out and haven't gotten around to buying resurrected yet. Love Coolie and watching his insights and love his style. Also, I was addicted to dl guides/builds etc and had never seen Max Roll until today! Oh dear.... Here we go again.... And I've been D2 sober for such a long time lol 😔

Recently found a claw with dragon flight, 30 ias, max dmg and fools mod, 15 percent enhanced dmg, repair mod.....but not ethereal 😭😭😭. Also found one fools mod and ignore target defence so im looking to find fool mod, max mod, ignore target defence, bladeshield, light sentry, dragon flight, 30 plus ias, repaire mod, ethereal. Maybe one day.

important side note, ghosts sins differ from spiders in that they traditionally used firetraps for maximum FHrlocking which is not really a thing anymore due to changes in D2r. Ghosts still used Venom and what not, which wouldn't work great for the showcases sins build due to the psn modifer on his rare claws (ruins the poison duration). they are less flexable than spiders but tend to do more overall damage. and specialize in vs sorc and (in legacy) vs druid matchups

Can we talk about ww being completely bugged in d2r on sin though? Every time I get hit during ww, my screen freezes and resumes once the ww reaches its landing point. Been like this since launch. Makes ww sin completely unplayable for me. How tf does anyone play sin with this bug? I’ve seen many other posts about this so I know I’m not alone. 100% reproducible. Just do long ww through dense mobs and it happens every time you get hit.
