IR Light is good for bigger pieces of vinyl

Heatlamp heats larger areas more evenly while heatgun focuses all heat on a small circle area which can quickly damage the wrap

Haha id be down to do that. But it wouldnt look too great. That film that goes to the ball goes rhere because it is damaged and cut. Most of it is dirty too. So it wonr look smooth.

A car wrap cost 1k to 2k in my area of NJ which is probably expensive for most areas. These guys are just ripping people off.

Same here. He is obviously making money or he wouldn't be charging those prices. He said that is his most expensive wrap. He has wraps that start at $3k depending on the vehicle and that is still expensive for some folks. He does some nice work. Some wraps are for folks who have money to burn. If you don’t have money to burn don’t worry about it. Just enjoy the video.

In what country or state? Re-painting a car the right way, removing trim, etc. costs more than this in NY area. Unless you are REALLY good with a rattle can.

Usually gets more difficult as the films get thicker, extra sticky adhesive also makes it tricky and films that arent as malleable and wont conform to the shape of the car can also be a headache.

Most cars you buy dont go up in value no matter what though. $10k to a lot of ppl isnt that much. Its more of a luxury thing just like most other unnecessary stuff we all spend on. Im getting ready to do the same on my car haha

@@JayTheWrapSpecialist I completely agree, 10K is chump change to many, maybe it is more a criticism of your customers vehicular imagination. If you have enough scratch to just drop 10K on vinyl without even feeling the dent in the wallet, then they should expand their vision to something more than a Charger that will rattle like hell at 50K miles and at 100K miles the vinyl will be the only thing holding it together. That color deserves to be on a Merc AMG GT, RUF 930 Slantnose or a McLaren. If your buying the right cars they do appreciate. Sure.. Chargers.. Corvettes.. just about every American car drops their values faster than a escort in Amsterdam drops her panties at the sight of a $1000 roll. A classic Ferrari at the dip of its value curve.. A 69 Mustang Elenore.. you drive those cars for free if you buy them right. I bought a Ferrari in 2013. Sold it in 2016 for almost 2x what i paid for it even after 25K miles added. Not going to get those metrics on a Charger. So never a critique of your work. There are no superlatives that match your skill with vinyl, but your customer needs some imagination with their dollar bills!

Most of the cars we wrap are brand new. I doubt they are looking to sell. Once ready to sell you can always take it off. To some its a waste. But so can anything else be that you spend on.

@@JayTheWrapSpecialist no hate, just that color choice is so niche it seems like it would alienate a big portion of buyers. Almost any other color would have more mass appeal - but that's just my opinion, could be completely wrong.
