spotted him walking south of falador one day near the air altar with a massive crowd behind him that caught my eye. he maybe misclicked an imp or intentionally killed it with msb and iron arrow. i waited until the arrow spawned, looted it, caught back up and "selling zezima arrow 10k" and someone actually bought it. that was my first 10k stack ever. thanks zez :')

This brought back a cacophony of memories, my dude. I remember hanging out at Castle Wars one day, and suddenly a MOB of people comes running through the door. Heralded by none other than the great Zezima himself. I couldn't have been more than 10 years old, and it felt like meeting a celebrity.

Back in the good old school runescape days. The best online game ever. I remember when I was 13 years old in 2004, Zezima was like a superstar, nobody could believe someone could ever get to 99 in every skill.

Man, the days of being young and coming home to game on the house computer and play runescape before eoc and all that stuff was some of the best times, aswell as alot of fun. Zezima was always the top player in my younger days, and in my opinion he'll always have a special spot in runescape and the community.

Loved the video! So much history over the course of RuneScape. A great topic to cover would be the RuneScape clan world after the removal of wilderness leading up to the First Jagex Cup. Lots of drama and was really interesting to watch the drastic shift of power happen within the clan community during that time

I remember a buddy of mine would hear from the grape vine Zezima was in a certain world. Then saying let’s go see him. You were lucky to get in that world for the rest if the day if you wornt early enough. I once got in the follow line of zezima. That was the happiest day of my life 😅

Man I chased Zezima around for days trying to just get him to talk. Just ignored everything a guy could say. He ended up trading with me one day when the varrock West Bank was the place to buy things. Bought 15 sets of rune armour in a time when we had to note each piece individually. Man the early days were the best.

I'm starting to play olrs again and just getting nostalgic thinking about Zezima. I'll never forget a couple times being at the party room in Falador and Zezima was dropping party hats for like an hour or two there. Such a classic and memorable moment. I started rs in like 2002/2003 and what a great decision to pursue the game. The fact that there's 4500+ hours of game play and so many areas to explore whether your f2p or p2p it's the ultimate MMO for old and new players.

I have just recently returned back to RuneScape specifically Old School. This has led to this video showing up in my recommendations and I had forgotten about Zezima. I began playing in 2005 and boy do I remember the Zezima hype. I remember scouring KZfaq looking for any real information but it was all clickbait. The nostalgia here is really making me miss those old days.

I actually met like three of his alt accounts back in 04-07, as well as a few of his neighbors, cousins, classmates and a even his brother.

Many moons ago when farming had just released I was farming near Port Phasmatys and suddenly I saw Zezima show up to farm, too. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was just me and him there and in my haste all I could think to say was, "Hi". To my surprise he responded with , "Hi :)", and a few moments later vanished into the ether. Truly one of my most memorable experiences back in the day.

Zezima is such an icon that the name is a colloquialism amongst my friends. If someone’s truly gifted at something, hugely naturally skilled, they’re the “Zezima of x/y/z”

I guarantee you that Zezima was one of the richest players to ever play RuneScape. I mean imagine how much bank value you would have if you were the only person to be able to do certain activities. When most people couldn’t even afford rune items he probably had a full bank of rune ore just from training the skill

Zezima sent out a tweet once that he was looking for players in Among Us, I was fortunate enough to join him and even talk on mic with him on Discord. I was so nervous that I performed horribly in the game and Zezima even laughed at how bad I was when he could sense my nervousness which gave away I was the imposter. Overall great times and I got to game with my childhood legend.

Zezima is *still* an RS god and perhaps the one and only. For many of us, he's not just the OG, he's the GOAT. He embodies the wild west before we all realized that the game was sweaty and grindy. We sat in banks and refreshed the highscores with every new fletching level, and gawked in awe when he seemingly gained 1m exp every time we checked. We were baby stepping while Zezima had already learned to run. None of us knew how he made the gains, and the mystique around his achievements elevated him to god status. Nowadays we all realize how people get their xp and we generally just think of big skilling accomplishments as hyper sweaty. While the HLC is still evolving their methods and making the game change, we tend to see every new HLC method as sweaty and disingenuous to the game's core design, like 1.5 ticking or multiskilling. Now, we know *how* the achievements happen, and we tend to vilify those accomplishments rather than herald them. Zezima sweated out the game in the perfect moment. Just in time for us to constantly be checking the highscores, but not too late for us to hate sweaty gameplay.

I saw Zezima one time fletching wearing what is to me his most iconic look, d legs, fighter torso and def ammy, I stood next to him like 20 mins trying to get him to say hi and he never replied 😂

I have a story about Zezima that I will never forget. This is late 2008 or sometime in 2009, can't remember, but it was definitely after the Summoning skill came out, and while doing double Nature Runes was still worthwhile. I logged in one day in the Castle Wars lobby, and there was a mass of people everywhere. I had no idea wtf was going on, but I was on a grind, so I brought my Graahk out and started going at it. A couple runs in, I see a guy running nats as well, and naturally right clicked him, as we all do to anybody in the game, and saw that it was the man, the myth, the legend: Zezima. He was a bit ahead of me in the run, so I went as fast as I could to see if I could surpass his speed. Eventually, I actually caught up to him and we were near tick-perfect synchronization for a few runs. I noticed then (when we were in synch) that whenever we teleported back to Castle Wars, there was an instant wall of text/spam. It was nuts. Never seen anything like it. The 3rd or 4th run that we were next to each other, I was just like "Dude that's annoying af" and his response was "You're telling me..."/"I hate it, makes me want to quit" I feel bad for him to be honest. He couldn't even play the game.

I played league and chatted with him in his discord for a bit, good guy and a lot younger than most think

I remember seeing him at an event in the early days of oldschool, Half of the playerbase was there so he was lost in the crowd with some people saying he's here, some saying he wasn't, some saying it was a fake, some saying he doesn't play anymore, some saying he'd died, all while zezima himself was standing there in front of everyone. about 10 years ago i joined the zezima clan, im general rank. met him a few times, hes chill. it felt surreal as back in 2008-2012 he was this damn legend 10-14 year old me looked up to. gotta say i got excited talking to him casually for the first time when i joined the clan.

Nice guy, got to talk to him once and that was like a holy crap moment for me. Very humble as well.

I've spoken with him a few times, and (from what I could gather) he was a big introvert. He quite honestly never had me believe that he was a cool person. He was overweight, didn't live the healthiest of lifestyles at least according to himself, and whenever a girl would join the call he either stumbled on his words, or couldn't form any at all. I'm not saying that he was or that he is a virgin, but I'm also not saying that he wasn't or that he isn't (does that last part even make sense?) But yeah he was a strange guy, definitely had his fair share of issues - and that's what has always been fascinating to me. Why people looked up to someone that they didn't actually know. Someone that (according to his virtual quote "achievements") could have been one of- if not the biggest lowlifer on the internet. And I'll happily admit that it is all just subjective and objective depending on which angle you look at it from, I just personally never got (nor will I ever get) to understand what could possibly be cool about wasting one's life playing video and computer games.

Yep when most people started (2006/2007) he was Number 1, not just that, but 1 bill xp. He just stood out to all the kids (myself included).

In 2004 I was going up the ladder in the Gnome Fortress and Zezima was coming down. After he passed me it became impossible to click on the ladder because of the hundred people following him lol.

I only got to see Zezima 2 times in the game and the 2nd time I saw him he said hello to me and I flipped out thinking he always had his game muted so when I said hi back, I also said I won't tell anyone he was there and he laughed and I walked away in shock that I got to see him, sad to say that was the last time I ever got to see him play by me in runescape
