I just like how the servant is the main person after his father and it makes sense as he’s technically second in command and it seems he’s basically the one helping set everything up

@@magicpyroninja idk man I mean I understand but it’s his adopted son. ADOPTED. So he would like him and trust him also in that one comic it said they had a good relationship. Wanda was a pawn and stitcher Jim was the be someone to resurrect him but his son is loyal and does what he can. And the old generals maybe he trusts them more but with how much they fail he may not that much

@@RipplyAnemone67 I know they had a good relationship once, but heart of fire novel says that once he became a skeleton lord he no longer desired to go visit his son anymore. And if it went and it comes down to it, I believe flame heart will sacrifice his son for his own ends

@@magicpyroninja well he literally said in the video that he was precious to senior and a lack of desire to meet his son can be due to flameheart being a skeleton and not wanting to risk his rule over the seas and I feel like the relationship has been improved with the resurrection and just in general with being in the same place and also both having the skeleton curse and relation to the captain

@@RipplyAnemone67Fun Fact: the servant has been waaaaaaaay more active on the seas than flamehearts been, he resurrected him, and did so much for him that his shitty generals ever did. So yeah, he trusts the servant more

This is the best one yet! Superb video Ray, I'm looking forward to how the story evolves from now. Hopefully the Reapers Hideout becomes a true base for the Reapers and they will continue to rage war across the seas, with only Athena and possibly the Cap'n in their way

One of my speculations is that hourglass will probably end some day. One of the factions will win and there will be no point in fighting anymore. Or another threat arrives on the sea of thieves and the two factions will work together to stop it, and a the rivalry comes to an end. Since Season 8 there is literally all out war on the seas without any of the factions winning or loosing. I think this will change somehow.

It's a shame what happened to the Reaper faction (players). Before season 9 reapers were fearsome hunting and hopping servers to do so, as to nowadays when you see a reaper they're running 90% of the time. Now it's all about the FoF, which is also great, but I can't remember the last time I've been hunted by a reaper. OT: Great video!

Reaper runners have always been more common than bloodthirsty server hopping reapers. The truly fearsome faction are the people running hunter's call shipsets. Those guys are out for blood.

Bit of a side tangent, but the evolution of the servants body/outfit really gives me hope for the skelly cosmetics in game. Obviously the game has its limitations, but something as simple as his gloves having his skelly fingers poking out just looks cool, i kinda wish they could update his model in game like this, the secret has been out long enough i dont think we need to pretend hes just a dude anymore.

OK Wow I love the lore for reapers and ashen, this summary was one of the best ive been able to find for them at all. I am potentially getting servant 100 before pirate legend, which would be insane. leveling Reaper is a crawl now tho. ty for the nice video

What i don't understand is why the Reapers still have a table at Port Merrick when the citizens actively dislike the Reapers (or at least the wiki says they do). Shouldn't the residents have just taken down the table entirely since the Reapers failed to capture Lost Sands? Also are the Seabound Soul and Heart of Fire tall tales not available anymore? Their story (at least imo) came to a conclusion with Return of the Damned.

Both are still available. And the Reaper's being in the sewers is a good way to get around that plot hole.

Do you ever wonder? Like. If Sea of Thieves wasn't a Xbox Microsoft Exclusive. Would it have been a world wide phenomena if it was on PlayStation as well? I cant help but think, it being a exclusive has shackled it to a "little" game. When it could have been a BIG league multi platform game.

Not gonna lie, the addition of Reapers is originally what made me lose interest in the game. Players being more incentivized to pvp and steal loot than they already are was a confusing addition to me back then, and now it feels like the Reapers are beginning to ruin the story and game world as well. Leaving islands shrouded in ugly fog, destroying outposts, removing characters from the world. Wouldn't be surprised if the last adventure will have the Reaper's deleting the game for everyone. Can't believe Athen'a Fortune is getting even more torn down with the traitor subplot, isn't it time for the Reaper's to get taken down a peg instead?

The Reapers have lost every major story point aside from Return of the Damned. So no, I don't think so.

@@AShinyRay have they? Only points I can think of are Lost Sands and Legend of the Veil. They succeeded in FotD and Sea Fort creation, and despite some setbacks, have resurrected Flameheart. And it seems like even when Reapers “lose” they just fail to acquire more power. When Athena loses, Merrick is trapped as a ghost, Pendragon is gone, and we would’ve lost an outpost. When reapers “lost” golden sands their emissary table got put into a tiny room….how tragic.

As a respectable, well, somewhat respectable, I support the reapers, not the servants. I like sinking ships, but an evil empire does not sound good in my money mind.
